Ginni: “Hey hey, Lira! Lira-lii... liiii!”
Lira: I jerked awake, squinting at her through half-lidded eyes. “Huh? What? What happened?”
Ginni: Drops onto the bed dramatically. “Don’t you remember? Next week is our Internship Day!”
Lira: Groans and throws a pillow over my head. “Ahhh—argh—I know! But before that, we still have to finish Professor Night’s stupid project!”
Ginni: Smirks. “Yup! But hey, aren’t you at least a little happy you’ll get to see that hot nerd again?”
Lira: Pauses, then narrows her eyes at Jinni. “He’s not hot. He just... wears glasses and knows how to code.
Ginni: Grinning wide. “Uh-huh. And your face just turns red every time he says your name by accident.”
Lira: Throws a pillow at her. “Shut up, Jinni!”
Ginni: Laughs, dodging. “Aww, Lira’s got a type—nerdy, broody, and unavailable!”
Lira: Scoffs, rolling her eyes. “Huh. Kai? Him? That nerd? Not even in my dreams.”
Ginni: Gasps dramatically. “Lira Mist! Don’t lie to me like that! I’ve seen the way you stare at him when he’s not looking.”
Lira: Snorts. “I stare because I’m trying to figure out how someone can look that serious while drinking banana milk.”
