Let me explain what I mean with that phrase alright?

You see, bees "sacrifice" honey to us (if we care for them properly). Like some of us sacrifice food, animals, etc. to the entity "God" (all religions included, mono- and polytheistic. I am aware that not all religions call their God God.).
Well, what if we are some sort of "God" to, in this example, bees? It also works with pets, dogs (trained to do what we want, like believers do certain things because their "God" said so.), cats (bringing us food for some reason, perhaps like bees give us food too.), etc.
The problem is that there is no such entity for us. There is no one that plays the role for us that we play for some animals. We're more intelligent than most beings we consider "animals" (despite being mammals (animals) ourselves) and therefore deemed worth less (we usually wouldn't eat humans, partly because they're our conspecies but also because we think they're not to hurt even after death (Christianity in and after the dark ages.)).
This lack of a higher being has made us create what we call "God". We also wanted something bigger than ourselves, greater than ourselves, something to follow that is above us, something to turn to when we were afraid or hurting, something that won't judge as long as we're obedient and followed the rules they give us.

This means in return that anyone can become God. As long as certain requirements are fulfilled.
The hardest thing is to figure out those requirements, I doubt they are too hard to fulfill, though.
If a lie is repeated often enough, it morphs to look and sound like a truth, despite staying a lie, of course.
