As Sam opened his eyes he was automatically over the moon. Only 8 more hours until they were finally on Spring Break. As he got up and showered, he could already hear the rest of them in the kitchen making breakfast. As he reached the bottom of the stairs he locked eyes with Colby. Colby looked into the sand haired boy's eyes. He didn't know what to say somehow Sam just looked angelic that morning.
Sam - Morning guys.
Everyone - MORNING!
Sam - Jake...
Jake - I already know what you're thinking. No, you can't copy my homework.
Sam - Whyyyyyyy
Jake - Because, last time you said, "I promise after this I will catchup on Waterworth's work. It will all be done before Spring Break." (He said it in a mocking tone)
Sam - Colby and I had to go the Biltmore Hotel.
Colby - Hey, don't use me as cover. (He said jokingly)
Sam - Plese jake, I'll let you use my car for a month.
Jake - Make it 2 and we got a deal.
Sam - Deal!
Corey - I hate to breakup this deal. But we have a solid 20 minutes to eat before we go.
They stopped in their tracks. And just like that they moved in what seemed to be a flash. They were out the door in 15 minutes flat. By the time they got to school kids were already floating the hallways absorbed with the half-day ahead. The 4 boys put their stuff in the lockers and made their ways to their classes Jake with Corey and Sam with Colby. When Sam and Colby entered their class. They could feel the buzz of excitement in the air. As they sat down, they watched their latest video and read the comments. Colby could tell something was going to happen, a pit in his stomach forming but he chalked it up into being excited for the school day to end. As they watched the video, they heard a thud come from the window it caught everyone's attention. The class went quiet, nothing but the sound of their YouTube video could be heard. They looked at the window a couple of the students getting up from their seats, Colby included. As they stared out the window what looked like hundreds of ravens began to fly right into the window. Colby immediately rushed towards Sam blocking his head from the broken glass. They could hear students running around in the halls. Sam grabbed Colby by the hand and headed out into the hall. Students were everywhere. By the time they got to the first floor it was complete chaos. There were papers everywhere, their peers screaming as they ran around the halls. Through the chaos they ran into the gym where they coincidentally met up with Jake and Corey.
Jake - Holy fuck, are you guys ok?
Colby (still holding hands with Sam) - Yea, were fine. It was weird.
Corey - What is even going on?
Sam - I don't know.
Corey - Do you guys know you guys are still holding hands?
Sam and Colby looked down, Sams face immediately going red. He pulled his hand away from Colby and let out a slightly embarrassed cough. Colby gave him a weird kind of expression. Jake and Corey thought it might have something to do with their overnight stay at the Biltmore a couple of days prior. Before they could press the issue, they suddenly realized that it had gone quiet except for a couple of stragglers they could hear exiting the building. Colby mustered up the courage and made his way out the gym doors, peeking around corners. He made his way to the English wing of the school. Just as he was about to walk down the hall, he could see a girl standing in the hallway. He called out to her.
Colby - Are you ok?
??? - ...
Colby - Hey! Can you hear me?
??? - ...
Colby watched as the girl slowly turned around. The way she moved gave him chills. It wasn't human but not animalistic either, it was more of a twitching. When he saw her face clearly, he could see her eyes. They were glossed over her pupils almost all white except for the little color of her irises. He began to back up slipping on a piece of paper that was left on the floor. When they locked eyes, she shrieked as she ran towards him. He wasted no time getting up and running down the hall towards the Science wing.

EDITORS NOTE - please don't be scared to voice your opinions on this book and if I like this one even more than the remake or the original, I am sad to announce that they will both be taken off of my platform and replaced with this one.
I don't know how frequent these updates will come but I do hope that this time I can make a full-on book without abandoning it like before.
Also, stay tuned for the end of the book for a special chapter about what went down at the Biltmore Hotel between the boys. If you're interested of course. At the end of the book, I might do a remake of MIDNIGHT as well. But it will not have the same plot as before as that plot had nowhere to go.
