"Ha, that was for you madam Ruby!"

"Haha and that was for you!"

I sighed heavily and slouched lower in my seat. I felt a slap across my head and look up at an agitated queen.

"What!?" I hissed.

"A lady never sighs or slouches, she always looks alert, happy and friendly." My mother scolded.

"You want too know what I think of being a 'lady'?" I spat.

"I would watch your-" Our argument was interrupted by a message being delivered to my mother.

"Thank you boys, you are amazing and definitely fit for Ruby. Un-fortunatly I have to cut this afternoon short, some business has come up."

"Thank god." I muttered, which earned me a deathly glare from the queen herself.

"I best be going. Would one of you gentlemen please accompany Ruby back to the grounds?"

"It would be a pleasure madam." Eric said bowing.

"Indeed it would, madam." Christopher repeated bowing as well.

I rolled my eyes and stood up, ready to out run these losers. But then my lovely mother gave me the, 'we'll be talking about this later,' and the, 'you better behave,' look. She waited until after Eric and Christopher had me walking arm in arm with them out of the fencing room and through the grounds back to the 'house'. Once we were out of her site I wiggled my arms free and skipped away.

"Princess Ruby!" I believe it was Eric that called out to me.

I flinched and turned around, "It's Ruby not Princess Ruby ." I said with a venomous voice.

"Pardon his mistake madam Ruby." Christopher responded for Eric.

"Yea, whatever, bye." I pivoted on my foot ready to run in the opposite direction of the 'house'.

"I am sorry madam Ruby, but we best be escorting you to the house and then we will be seeing you at the dinner next week." Eric said.

"Uh no. How about we best be saying our goodbye's and I escort myself to wherever I want."

Christopher looked at me baffled, (Oh yea this is their first time meeting an un-lady-like 'princess') but he quickly recovered with a very slow, "Okay madam."

He bowed and kissed my hand. Eric did the same but his lips lingered a little longer, which is disgusting because now I have more slobber then necessary on my hand.

I watched them walk off knowing that I would never choose either of them. I turned around and wiped my hand on a poor fern before skipping along through the gardens and to the walls.
