"Again? So soon!" Yuji whined from his seat, but Gojo simply patted his head in a fatherly manner. "Duty calls. Don't worry. I will finish it off quickly, and then your sensei will be here to spend time with you all again!"

"No, please go away." Nobara retorted. Although she said it in a mean way, her true thoughts were contrasting to it.

She calls him a man-child, dork, stupid, and more nicknames, but she can't deny the fact that she misses his presence when he isn't near. As the time was passing by, she couldn't help but accept Paku and Gojo as her guardians. It's not been too long, but something about them draws her in. But she will never let them know.

"Why are you so mean to me, Nobara?" Gojo asked with fake hurt as he clutched his heart and made fake sobbing sounds, and Nobara's face cringed at him.

"Stop it, you look like an absolute idiot."

He clutched his heart even more. "How long is it going to take?" This time, Megumi was the one who asked. "Maximum two days. But I'll try to get over with the task at hand as soon as possible. And you're going to attend your first ever mission together as first years. They say it's a detention center. Good luck!" He gave them thumbs ups and smiled cheerfully, but Paku froze in her spot.

Mission.

Gojo on a business trip.

Detention center.

Yuji....

I have to talk with him.

Anyhow.

"Yeah, I'm so excited!" Yuji and Nobara cheered along and tried to make Megumi join them who just wat there silently.

"Alarose, i wanted to have a talk with you. We still have unfinished matters at hand." Gojo suddenly added, and Paku nodded without any comprehension. Unlike his usual cheery voice his voice dipped few octaves lower. "I also wanted to have a talk."

"That settles it then."

...

After the students were finished with their dinner, they went off to their dorms to rest, and both the elders remained behind.
"Let's go to my office. We don't want someone eavesdropping." Gojo suggested, and Paku didn't question him and followed his lead. When they reached his office, Paku looked around with awe. The soft lights hummed. The furniture there was polished and ravish, and what fascinated her more was that when she sat beside him on the couch and she leaned down to pick up her handkerchief which slipped from her hold, she saw the furniture labeled with 1/1.

Damn, whaddaphak!?

"So," he rested his arm on the back of the couch. "Where were we last time?" He asked with seriousness. There wasn't any hint of enthusiasm, playfulness, or teasing like his voice usually does. An eerie silence fell between them, and Paku had to gulp in order to calm her nerves.

After all, she wasn't good with words and explanation, and when she does, it always ends up bad.

"My world. My occurrence in here."

"Right...." he trails off before asking something, which made her stiffen up slightly. "How's the manga going on? Is it finished or ongoing?"

Paku remained silent. Trying to frame her sentence in a way it doesn't sound wrong after all she always struggled with words. Her words will hold a different meaning when, in reality, she meant something else. So she didn't want to fuck it up. One wrong move, and he might just hollow purple her like he did with Toji and make an apple logo out of her. So she tried to come out clean. Gojo didn't push her, but he was patient with his approach. He waited for her answer.
