I held her face in my hands, my thrusts gettin’ deeper, stronger. “Then you got me,” I growled, “forever.”
We moved like that — a storm and a shelter, all in one. And when she came, she screamed my name so loud I swear the trees outside stopped blowin’. I followed right after, buryin’ my head in her neck, shakin’ from the release, from the withdrawal, from the love that was floodin’ every part of me.
I held her afterward, both of us breathin’ heavy, her fingers drawin’ lazy shapes on my chest.
And all I could think was…
I’d die for her.
But more importantly, I’d live.
For her.

Later on that night
The dinner spot was exclusive — high-rise, rooftop view of the city skyline, wrapped in glass and bathed in low amber lighting. Dice had secured the entire back section for the crew. The air smelled like seared lamb, honey bourbon, and legacy. Ghenesis walked in on Zeus’ arm, her hand resting on his chest like she belonged there — and she did. Nico, Mason, and Dice were already seated, a bottle of aged dark pourin’ into crystal glasses as waiters hovered, silent and swift. But the real focus was at the head of the table.
Uchiha.
He sat like a king without a crown — tall, dark-skinned with salt-and-pepper beard trimmed nice and neat. His gold bracelets clinked gently when he raised his glass to greet them. That African accent rolled out his mouth like wisdom dipped in wine. “My children,” he said warmly, standing to embrace Ghenesis first. “Ahhh, my daughter,” he smiled wide, kissing both of her cheeks. “Still stubborn… still beautiful.”
Ghenesis blushed instantly, cheeks turning a warm rose that made Zeus chuckle low and kiss her temple. “Dad…” she whispered, eyes rollin’ but her smile givin’ her away.
Uchiha turned next to Zeus, who stepped forward with that calm confidence he always carried. They dapped up — strong, firm. Mutual respect already sittin’ in the air. “My son,” Uchiha said with a nod. “I see the fire in your eyes has not dimmed. Good. I like a man who knows the weight he carries.”
They all took their seats, the table now full — loyalty on one side, legacy on the other. The waitstaff brought out platters of oxtail, whole grilled fish, jollof rice, cassava bread, and plantains. Uchiha didn’t hold back, piling Ghenesis’ plate like a proud father who ain’t seen his child eat in weeks.
Zeus watched her giggle under her breath, letting Uchiha cut her meat and refill her glass like she was still sixteen. But he didn’t feel a way about it. In fact, it made his chest warm. Seeing Ghenesis adored like that — not owned, not manipulated like Charles did — but loved. Protected.
Uchiha leaned back, sipping slowly. “Apologies for my absence the last few months,” he began, his voice carrying like a griot under moonlight. “There was... unrest back home. Political fires that needed water. South Africa is healing again. And now that it is,” he looked directly at Ghenesis, “maybe... our princess will finally come visit.”
Ghenesis damn near choked on her drink, waving a hand. “Here we go…”
The whole table burst into laughter. Even Dice cracked a grin. Mason raised a brow and said, “Princess though? Ghen got titles now?”
Zeus leaned in, lips brushing her ear, voice low. “That mean my wife comes from royalty?”
“Shut up,” she muttered, grinning big but red as a ripe cherry.
Once the laughter died down, Uchiha's tone shifted — still calm, but now with purpose. “Now, let us talk business.”
Zeus sat up straighter. Dice leaned forward, notebook in hand.
Uchiha’s eyes darkened just slightly. “I want to be very clear… I am here for you all. Not that snake, Charles.” His lip curled with distaste. “That man’s energy is... spoiled. I will not align myself with poison.”
Zeus nodded slow, his fingers tapping the table. “That’s understood. Our line stays separate. You deal with us, you deal with loyalty, structure, and quiet power. Cobra got noise — but we got longevity.”
“Exactly.” Uchiha pulled out a leather folio, opening to export lists, price margins, and coded batch routes. “I can move product through the southern ports. I have landlines in Durban and a sister network through Nairobi. Prices will be high... but trust will be higher.”
They broke it all down — units, conversions, when shipments would leave port, how much heat to expect, and fallback plans if any route got compromised. Dice had a few jokes, Nico asked all the right money questions, and Ghenesis translated the business lingo for Mason when he got bored and zoned out halfway through.
By the end, the deal was signed, sealed — partnership official. But before they poured another round, Uchiha stood up from the table and motioned to Zeus.
“Walk with me, son.”
Zeus looked at Ghen, who nodded once, lips pressed but eyes trusting.
They stepped off to the rooftop balcony, city lights glowing beneath them like stars flipped upside down. Uchiha folded his arms behind his back, staring out at the skyline.
“I know this may feel... strange,” he began. “I am not her blood. I did not create her. But that girl in there?” He tapped his chest. “She is mine. I raised her. I held her when her mother died. I taught her to fight. To pray. To listen.”
Zeus stayed silent, letting him speak.
“I am telling you this, Zeus, because I see it. In your eyes. In your hands. You love her.” Uchiha turned slowly, eyes hard but full. “And love is not enough. Not when war sits at your doorstep. You must protect her. With your soul. With your rage. With your name.”
Zeus looked him dead in the eye. “I understand. More than you know.”
Uchiha raised a brow.
“I ain’t had no real father figure. Charles? He a cage, not a man. You? You don’t owe me shit, but you stood up anyway. That mean more to me than you probably realize. And because of that — you got my respect.”
They stared at each other a beat longer, then finally reached out — two hands, two leaders, two protectors — and shook.
“Then we are brothers in honor,” Uchiha said.
Zeus cracked a small grin. “And partners in profit.”
They laughed.
Back inside, Ghenesis glanced up as Zeus returned, and when he reached for her hand under the table, she held it tight. Real tight.
Tonight wasn’t just a meeting.
It was the start of a kingdom.
And Thier throne was finally being built right.
