"Okay..." Yujin murmurs, casting a curious glance at Beomgyu. Taehyun's warning glare shuts down any further inquiry.

Kai, sensing the awkward silence, brightens quickly. "Anyway! Let's get started." He taps his sticks together eagerly. "We should pick up that abandoned track—remember that mess from before these two joined?"

Jay groans dramatically. "It was abandoned for a reason, Kai."

"No," Kai insists stubbornly. "It had potential."

"Potential to hurt ears," Taerae quips softly.

Kai rolls his eyes. "Shut it, all of you. Let's give it another try."

Reluctantly, they pick up their instruments, the room soon filled with hesitant notes and mismatched rhythms. The track quickly descends into chaos, the chords clashing awkwardly.

Taehyun finally grimaces, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Alright, that was...terrible."

Kai deflates dramatically, slumping forward onto his drum kit. "Thanks for the feedback, composer Kang."

"Funny you mention composing," Taehyun says casually, examining his nails, "since that's literally what I study."

"Oh god," Beomgyu groans immediately, rolling his eyes skyward. "Not this again."

Taerae straightens, eyes sparkling eagerly. "Wait, you can actually compose?"

Taehyun gives a smug nod. "I don't just sing. I create."

Beomgyu lets out a snort, unable to hide the faint amusement. "Here we go again, composer Kang's TED Talk."

Taehyun shoots him a smirk. "At least I know more than three chords."

"Hey!" Beomgyu protests sharply. "I literally play better than you!"

Taehyun chuckles, his gaze shifting pointedly to the rest of the band. "Bet I can fix this track."

Beomgyu scoffs lightly, crossing his arms stubbornly. "Yeah? Prove it."

Taehyun raises an eyebrow, stepping toward the keyboard confidently. He hums a soft melody, fingers dancing over the keys. The rough notes from before slowly transform, shifting into something smoother, warmer.

They all stare, stunned.

"Damn," Jay mutters. "He wasn't bluffing."

Kai grins, nudging Beomgyu. "Your turn, guitar prince."

Beomgyu sighs, but there's a challenge in his gaze now. He lifts his guitar and strums a few chords, catching the rhythm Taehyun set, blending seamlessly. Suddenly, the two friends are trading ideas effortlessly, bouncing harmonies and beats like tennis balls, the chaos slowly evolving into something undeniably captivating.

The band watches silently, wide-eyed.

"Shit," Yujin whispers, eyes wide. "They're actually twins."

"Scary," Taerae murmurs with awe. "But amazing."

Kai beams triumphantly. "I knew they'd click."

Taehyun finally pauses, turning to face Beomgyu with a smug tilt to his lips. "Told you I'd fix it."

Beomgyu scowls, but the smile tugging at his lips is undeniable. "You're still insufferable."

"And you still secretly love it," Taehyun counters, eyes twinkling.

Beomgyu just rolls his eyes, but the tension in his shoulders is finally easing. For the first time today, the pressure in his chest feels bearable.
