2. 𝔾𝕖𝕥 𝕥𝕠 𝕜𝕟𝕠𝕨 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖 ٩(◕‿◕｡)۶

The bell rang. Finally.
Felix couldn’t wait to spend more time with the other two. He quickly packed up his things, stood, and made his way to the spot they had agreed to meet.

He arrived first. Looking around, he spotted a bench in front of the university and sat down, pulling out his camera. For a while, he busied himself snapping photos of flowers and trees swaying in the late afternoon breeze.

“Hurry up already!”

Jisung groaned at Hyunjin, who was still hunched over his easel. Jisung was eager for his two friends to connect, while Hyunjin, as usual, was more concerned with finishing the painting he’d started in art class.

“Wait a second, will you? I’m just finishing it…”

Hyunjin muttered, rolling his eyes. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to get to know Felix—but in his mind, nothing was more important than his art. He had to keep his priorities straight, didn’t he?

“Seriously? You said you’d be fine with meeting him, and now you’re making him wait because of some painting!?”

Jisung snapped, pointing accusingly at Hyunjin’s work.

“Exactly,”
Hyunjin replied flatly, glancing up.

“If he wants to know me, the first thing he should learn is that I put my paintings above everything.”

Jisung rolled his eyes, then tugged lightly on Hyunjin’s arm.

“Come on, Hyunjin. Please? For me?”

His expression softened into such a pitiful, sincere look that it almost seemed like he was about to cry.

Hyunjin groaned but finally set his supplies aside, placing his painting carefully on the drying stand.

“Fine. But don’t think this is going to turn into a regular thing—me leaving early just to meet another one of your friends.”

Jisung’s face lit up instantly. He pulled more firmly on Hyunjin’s arm, dragging him along. Hyunjin followed reluctantly, like a cat on a leash—he didn’t resist much, but he certainly didn’t look excited either.

By now, Felix was lying in the grass, his eyes closed, his camera resting loosely around his neck. He looked so peaceful, as though nothing in the world could bother him. But, of course, that peace didn’t last long.

“Felix!” Jisung shouted before flopping down beside him.

“Hm? Ah! Hey! You guys made it!”

Felix greeted him with a soft smile, then lifted his gaze toward Hyunjin, who still stood stiffly in front of them. He studied him for a moment, taking in the sharpness of his expression.

“Aren’t you going to sit?”
Jisung asked eventually.

“You look stupid just standing there.”

“Oh, I’ll sit, alright. Jeez…”

Hyunjin muttered, finally lowering himself onto the grass beside Felix. He gave him a quick once-over again. There was something… different about him. It was hard to describe. Felix didn’t just look good—he looked bright, as if sunlight clung to him.

“Tell me about yourself,” Hyunjin said bluntly after a few moments of silence.

“About myself?”
Felix echoed.

“Well… I really like photography. And—I make delicious brownies!” he added with a grin. His smile was warm, inviting, almost impossible to dislike.

Hyunjin, still wary, shrugged. “Photography, huh? What do you take pictures of?”

Felix tilted his head, thinking for a moment. “Mostly nature… flowers, rivers, the sky. Stuff like that, you know?”

For the first time, Hyunjin’s expression softened with genuine interest. His eyes flickered toward the camera hanging from Felix’s neck.

“Really…? Can I see?” he asked, nodding toward it.

“Can I see too??” Jisung added quickly, scooting closer.

“Sure!” Felix chuckled, switching the camera on and flipping through the photos on his film.

“I took more, but I already developed that roll,” he explained.

Hyunjin’s gaze lingered on the images. Maybe this Felix wasn’t so bad after all. In fact, he was… interesting.

Jisung, watching carefully, didn’t miss the subtle change in Hyunjin’s expression as he looked at Felix. A small, knowing smile tugged at his lips.

Looks like Hyunjin might actually accept Felix as his friend, huh?
