Sooo hey, sending this out while in MANILA PHILIPPINES!!! I absolutely LOVE IT HERE. I get to visit my relatives, celebrate my birthday this month (July btw), and see amazing sights!! But as a weirdo hermit that likes to write self inserts instead of interact with people, I have something to tell you.
1. Here in the Philippines, I am a WHOLE DAY AHEAD OF YOU GUYS. It's day here while it's night in the States, meaning that I can only post while your asleep, and can't see when you comment because by then I'M ALSEEP. So yayyy... 2. I still have no access to Netflix. MEANING THAT I STILL HAVE NO ACESS TO 3BELOW IM SOBBING. (Thank you for your advice btw @Empty_Moon_ I'm currently scouting for those scripts to still write the best I can.) 3. I wanted to write SOMETHING to replace the fact that my Krel x Reader will not be updated for literally MONTHS until I return to the states. 4. Remember how I mentioned I hyperfixated on something else? WELL.... I may or may not have completely become obsessed with it. As always, when I wrote this in MAY, it has taken me only TWO MONTHS TO COMPLETE THE ENTIRE FIC. It also used to be a self insert so I had to alter it to be reader friendly.

CHAPTER 5 - THE PUMA: (Picchu's prologue) A burly Golden Mountain Barbarian named Picchu joins Maya's party as the third foretold warrior. Later that night, Zatz confronts y/n and Maya about her motives. Word Count: 19k
CHAPTER 6 - MAYA AND THE FOUR: Lord Mictlan's army attacks Teca, but Maya and her friends fight back. When the gods return, a second battle reveals strengths they didn't know they had. Word Count: 16k
CHAPTER 7 - DIVINE GATE: (Maya's and Lady Micte's prologue) Help springs from a surprising source when Maya and the Three come face-to-face with Lord Mictlan. In the end, a noble friend makes a selfless sacrifice. Word Count: 19k
CHAPTER 8 - THE BAT, THE OWL, AND THE BEELTE: (Zatz' prologue) After flying from danger, a devastated Maya sends her friends to warn their kingdoms that Lord Mictlan is coming. Lady Micte opens her heart. Word Count: 15k
CHAPTER 9 - THE SUN, MOON, AND STARS: A fateful battle begins in Teca between Lord Mictlan and his army and Maya and her allies. But how will it all end? In epic fashion. Word Count: 26k
CHAPTER 9 (ALT. ENDING) - THE SUN, MOON, AND STARS: Same as the previous chapter, but it starts somewhere in the middle/end of the episode (because I am not rewriting an entire chapter for some little changes) with a slightly different ending. So it's a mini chapter. Word Count: 8k
I know what your gonna say. OH, AUTHOR, ONLY NINE AND A HALF CHAPTETS? YOU STARVE US- SHHHH! As you may know about Maya and the Three, there is only nine episodes in total. MEANING EACH CHAPTER IS AN EPISODE LONG. IT'S LONG.
Other information to know about:
- I co-wrote this with my sister. Some parts are written by her, some by me. So if you notice any difference in formatting as you read, that's why. - Zatz x Reader. Duh. But Maya still kind of likes Zatz (it's not drama and it's not a rivalry. It's just there). - Reader (y/n) is a guard of Teca. You are titled the Fearless Hero of Teca (which is gonna change the further this story goes on), and your duty is to keep the royal family safe. Your weapon is a spear and shield (mainly shield because that's your gold talisman) - You are the BEETLE GUARD of the prophecy, and Maya figures that out fast because you have a beetle tattoo from an unknown origin on your upper back. - I am not funny. I try to be, but I'm not. So there might be some terrible attempts of humor in this. - Your background is kind of vague (I wanted it to be open for you) but there is some stuff that is pre-determined like personality, relationships, so on and so forth. - I have other characters added too that don't change the narrative too much, but they are there. Here's a list of the additional characters and what they look like so you have a vague idea of how they look: - COMMANDER HECTOR: You were found by the Teca army Commander who is named Hector. He is your mentor and caregiver even though he is very grumpy about it. Hector isn't your father figure, more like your grandfather figure. He was the protector of King Teca when he was "young". He is an aging man with greying black hair that reaches the back of his neck and also turned into a scruffy beard around his mouth and chin. He has dark skin littered with old scars both big and small, circles under his narrow brown eyes and a permanent scowl across his face. He wears usual Teca armor but with additional bling to show his status. - LOBO: Seen only once, but I felt to add him. He is the guy that beats you up in your past in episode 2. He is a fighter in the fighting pits with long tangled black hair, brown eyes, and a brown wolf outfit. He isn't fair and is very strong, but his place as Fighting Pit champion doesn't last long. - NESOXOCHI: Not so accurate to mythology, but this is the goddess of fear. She despises you. She isn't a strong god by physical power, but Nesoxochi is definitely a terrifying god in the Underworld, able to use fear to make her seem powerful. No one likes to be around her because even just standing next to her causes cold sweats and anxiety. She is calculating, cruel, and gluttonous (not for food but for fear). Nesoxochi has choppy brown hair, large black eyes with very dilated pupils. sharp black teeth, tick like markings along her skinny arms, rust colored face paint, strange greyish skin, long talon like nails, a skull mask along with a necklace of teeth (not her teeth mind you). She has dead snake skin and leather for a skirt and a tattered cloth wrapped around her chest.
