𖹭 Location: Akademi, field/race tracks
𖹭 Date: Week 5
𖹭 Mission Objective: Complete Emotionally Jogging Session

Player: [Y/N] [L/N]
𖹭 Condition: Tired. Anxious. Anticipatory.

"That moment when you accidentally make people fall for you.."

"You ever tried outrunning your feelings?"

That was how Aso Rito invited her on the world’s most ill timed jog.

[Y/N] blinked at him from behind her half-closed locker, "I usually just ignore them and hope they suffocate."

"Same thing!" Aso said brightly, offering her a water bottle like it was a microphone. "Come on, rookie. You've got the vibe of someone who needs to sweat out a breakdown."

Twenty minutes later, she was regretting everything.

The track gleamed under the soft pink blur of the setting sun. Birds chirped. Her lungs screamed. Aso jogged backwards ahead of her, barely breaking a sweat.

"This is emotional endurance training!" He shouted over her wheezing. "Like gym, but for your tragic backstory!"

"I will trip you," [Y/N] rasped, clutching her side.

"That's the spirit!"

The thing was—he meant it. The cheering. The encouragement. The way he slowed down to match her uneven pace without mentioning it.

After the third lap, or death spiral, they collapsed against the fence, sharing a bottle of water and the same breathless silence.

[Y/N] rested her head against her arms. "You know this isn't normal, right? Random emotional cardio."

"It is when I do it," Aso said, then looked sideways at her. His tone shifted—just slightly. "You're holding a lot in."

She didn't answer.

"You don't gotta explain," he added, casually tossing a pebble across the track. "Just don't let it break you before midterms do. Or gym class. I’ve seen those dodgeballs. They will test you."

She snorted—half laugh, half wheeze. "You make gym sound like psychological warfare."

Aso tilted his head. "Isn't it?"

He was smiling, but quieter now. The energy that usually burst out of him like confetti had simmered down into something... steady. Warm.

The sun dipped lower. Shadows stretched like spilled ink across the track.

Without a word, Aso slipped the green cloth wristband off his arm and offered it to her.

[Y/N] blinked. "...Is that a sacred relic?"
