The Last Cry
by Min | 30th June 2025
A man can't cry—
Not where eyes can see,
Not where pride must stand
Like a wall in the sea.
But a man will cry—
When silence is near,
When the night hides
Every drop of fear.
A man still can't cry—
Not in crowds, not in light,
For in front of people,
He must hold the fight.
Yet a man can cry—
Behind a locked door,
Alone with his thoughts,
On a cold bedroom floor.
A man can cry
When the world turns grey,
When a heart breaks slow
In a quiet, still way.
A man can cry—
But a man can't cry.
Not always. Not now.
He just knows why.
The last cry—
The day I broke inside.
When I lost my best friend,
When something died.
4th July '23—
The date still bleeds dry.
That day...
The last cry.
