To the Man I Haven't Met Yet

I never had someone real to lean on.
The world is never soft for girls like me.
I longed for someone I could run to —
just to complain,
just to breathe,
just to speak
and let my thoughts fall free.

My future husband —

The one I’m waiting for,
the one I’d wear vanilla for.
I'd pour my love like waterfalls —
endlessly,
tenderly,
with no pause at all.

I’d listen to him through tired eyes,
fighting sleep,
while his voice sings me quiet.
And he’d listen too —
not just hear,
but listen.

Together, we’d slumber,
not just in sleep,
but in peace.

In a world of lust, ego, and pride,
he’d be the shelter where I hide.
No fear would follow me inside.
He’d hold me close,
and call me mine.

And on the day I find him —
I’ll look into his eyes,
a smile breaking through my silence…
and simply say:
"I have so much to tell you."
