YAMI 🤍

"They called me dangerous before they even let me try."

Role: The Hidden Twin / Part-Demon Hunter / Lyricist in the Shadows

Name: Yami

Age: Same as Rumi

Position: Officially Huntrix's personal assistant. Unofficially... so much more.

Personality: Fierce. Guarded. Blunt. Loyal to a fault. Carries her pain like armor and her silence like a blade. She's always been the girl who fought alone-by choice and by circumstance.

🌒 Backstory:

Yami is Rumi's non-identical twin-and her opposite in every way. While Rumi was chosen to be part of Huntrix, Yami was left behind. Not because she lacked skill-but because she refused to hide who she was. Her demon marks were never concealed. Her anger was never sweetened. Her strength? It scared them.

Trained alongside her sister, Yami was always meant to be a hunter. But when their aunt-their manager and mentor-decided only three girls could debut, Yami became "the liability."

Instead of letting her go, they kept her close. They said it was "for her own safety." The truth? They feared what she could become.

Now, she lives in the shadow of the group she was never allowed to join. To the world, she's just a staff member. But behind the scenes? She's the one writing lyrics that bleed. The one patching wounds after late-night hunts. The one hiding a power even she doesn't fully understand.

🔥 Powers & Abilities:

Part-Demon: Like Rumi, Yami is half-demon-but her marks are more unstable, more volatile.

Combat Training: Highly skilled, but her fighting style is more raw and aggressive compared to Rumi's grace.

Resistance to Dark Energy: Her demon blood gives her an unusual immunity to certain types of dark magic.

Lyrics as Weaponry: Unknown to most, her songwriting holds ancient energy. Words woven with emotion can amplify demon magic-or undo it.

Yami's Apperance

Yami's long, brown hair tumbles in soft waves down her back, always left loose, wild, and untouched-like her. Her hazel eyes, flecked with gold, scan everything with quiet calculation. She's petite, lean, and agile-easy to underestimate until she moves, and you realize she's stronger than she looks.

Her style is bold and unbothered: she switches between oversized jackets and combat boots to cropped tops and sleeveless tees that reveal the patterns etched across her skin. Low-rise cargo pants, distressed denim, fingerless gloves-every piece feels lived-in, intentional. She doesn't dress to fit in or to cover up her patterns. She dresses like she already knows who she is-and doesn't need anyone's approval.

She's the kind of girl who sinks into corners with her headphones in, music blaring, eyes distant. She doesn't talk much-always watching, always silent, like she's saving her voice for something that matters. Her boldness doesn't shout; it lingers in how she moves when no one's looking. Late at night, alone in the studio, she dances like fire-sharp, unafraid, and utterly free. In those moments, she's not hiding. She's just finally herself.

This is what Yami’s sword looks like—not exactly the same, but quite similar. I found this reference on Pinterest, and it closely matches the image I had in mind for her weapon.
Yami’s sword is thinner, darker in tone—subtle choices that reflect the imbalance between them. While Rumi’s weapon symbolizes acceptance and legacy, Yami’s is a shadow of that—a reminder that she was trained, but never fully trusted. The resemblance highlights how close she came to being her equal… yet was always held at arm’s length.
