"Are you excited sweet? We've waited so long for this, I can't believe it's finally happening!"
Angela's voice echoed over the phone, her excitement only heightened by Kadence's reciprocation.
"Yeah it's awesome sauce."
Angela had gotten used to Kadence's deadpan responses. She knew that was just part of Kadence's autistic rizz.
They had both been dating long distance for nearly 4 years at this point, and finally, their dream of meeting was about to come true. That time tomorrow, Kadence would leave America. She would take a flight to England and never return. The strict rules of her home, the dictatorship of a cruel president, they would all come to an end as she landed in her forever home. She, of course, would be accompanied by her forever girl.
TIME SKIP: Nightime
Enough time had passed that Angela finally found a sleep schedule. But even then, she found herself staying up that night to talk to Kadence.
Kadence was nervous, and it was Angela's job to comfort her.
"What happens if I don't know anything about your country? Like mannerisms and stuff." Kadence reiterated for what felt like the 100th time.
Angela giggled.
"It won't matter sweetheart, I'll be with you okay?"
Kadence felt a warm flush over her body. Angela had used the tone of voice that makes her heart skip a beat. She knew exactly what Kadence wanted to hear.
"I'll admit I'm nervous too Kay. This is a big step for us after all these years. But just imagine everything we could do, and I mean everything."
"Yup."
And with that, the two decided to call it a night. Kadence had to wake up early for a flight after all, and Angela had to meet her there. They couldn't afford to stay up too late, not now.
