he built a resting area for the neighboring pigeons, for they must be tired from parading the streets all day
the house was swirled with brown and white cream cheese frosting
and the walls were lined with only the finest of swiss chocolate
and the roof was freshly baked peppermint bark
and the floor was lined with dozens and dozens of gingersnap cookies, crumbled finely by hand
and oh my, did it take the man hours to complete
but the pigeons could never leave it
and he just didn't understand why
until he found their remains rotting in the house, with bits of sugar found in their mouths, never leaving until it rotted their internal bodies
he never did build another house
