Spurs Legend Erik Nilsson's Daughter Signs for the Gunners
Erik Nilsson, a Swedish international, signed for Tottenham Hotspur in 1980 and stayed for sixteen years, winning the FA Cup 3 times and the UEFA Europa League. Nilsson made 615 club appearances, making him Spurs' second most capped player.
Nilsson's youngest daughter, Astrid Nilsson, followed in her father's footsteps, making the move from BK Häcken to Tottenham Hotspur in 2020, at sixteen. She made 21 appearances across three seasons, before abruptly leaving Spurs and football altogether. Despite being called up for the 2022 UEFA European Championship at just seventeen, Astrid Nilsson was left out of the Sweden's 2023 World Cup team, after suddenly leaving a preparation camp due to illness.
Astrid Nilsson did not sign for a club in the 2023-2024 season and has not been called up internationally since. Astrid Nilsson was spotted in Orlando, Florida, where it is rumoured she has entered a relationship with Orlando Pride goalkeeper, Sadie Forbes.
It has now been announced that Astrid Nilsson will be joining Spurs rivals, Arsenal Women's Football Club, after signing a contract until 2028. Sources suggest that Forbes is also close to finalising a deal with the North London football club.
The signing has sparked outrage amongst Spurs and Arsenal fans, labelling Astrid Nilsson as disloyal, with other's confused why the so-called Spurs stargirl would sign for the club she was raised to hate. Erik Nilsson refused to comment.
