Normal pov.
"Sam..." Trevor uttered, his gaze filled with a mix of relief and concern. He took a step closer, the space between them feeling both familiar and foreign at the same time. It had been so long, and yet, seeing her face again awakened a whirlwind of emotions.
He watched as she fidgeted nervously, her eyes avoiding his. He knew her well enough to sense the unease in her demeanor. "We need to talk," he said softly, his voice carrying a hint of urgency.
Sam took a deep breath, her heart pounding against her chest.
"Why? Ano pag uusapan natin?"She rolled her eyes
Trevor's shoulders slumped slightly, a sigh escaping his lips as he recognized the guarded tone in her voice. He had hoped for a more welcoming reaction, but deep down, he knew he couldn't expect anything different after their complicated history.
"We need to talk about why you've been avoiding me," he replied, his words carrying a hint of frustration. "It's been months, Sam. You can't keep running away from me forever."
Sam keeps silent, cause she can't also know the answer.
The silence between them grew heavy, the weight of unspoken words hanging in the air. Trevor clenched his jaw, his frustration growing as Sam remained stubbornly silent.
"You can't keep shutting me out like this," he pressed on, his voice tinged with desperation. "We were friends once, remember? We used to be able to talk to each other about anything. But now it's like you've built this wall around yourself, and you won't let me in."
"Eh bakit ba Kasi nagagalit ka? Hindi ka lang kinausap." Sam replied and rolled her eyes again trying herself to calm down.
"We can talk about that later! Pero Walang dapat makaalam sa opisina na magkakilala tayo . Boss kita at employee lang Ako. Ayokong magkaroon Ako Ng issue dito."
Trevor's frustration dissipated slightly as he heard the concern in her voice. He knew she was right; their personal lives shouldn't interfere with their professional relationship, especially in the workplace.
He nodded, exhaling a deep breath. "I understand," he replied, his voice softened. "We'll keep this professional then."
His gaze lingered on her for a moment longer, but he bit his tongue, holding back the countless questions that plagued him.
Sam walks away and goes back to the building and starts to work again
Trevor watched as she walked away, his eyes following her retreating figure. He couldn't help but feel a sense of helplessness wash over him. He wanted to reach out, to bridge the distance that seemed to grow wider each day. But he knew he needed to respect her boundaries, at least for now.
With a heavy sigh, he turned and headed towards his office, his mind consumed with thoughts of her.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the office slowly emptied out. Trevor's staff bid him farewell, leaving him alone with his thoughts and the dimly lit office. He sat there, staring blankly at the screen, the words and numbers merging into an indiscernible blur.
Trevor ran a hand through his hair, frustration and longing mingled within him. He leaned against the window sill, contemplating his next move. Should he confront her, demand answers, or give her the space she seemed to crave?
You saw Sam through the glass window of your office as she was leaving, and she saw you too. She just nodded, a sign of farewell.
Trevor couldn’t help but feel a pang of anticipation as he invited Sam to have a meal together. The thought of finally having a chance to talk to her privately, away from the prying eyes of the office, was both exciting and nerve-wracking.
He tried to keep his tone casual, masking the mixture of emotions he felt. “It’s been a long day,” he said, an attempt to justify the invitation. “And I could use a break.” She only nodded in response..
