The First Note

The locker clanked open, and a folded piece of parchment-white paper fluttered to the ground.

Taehyung blinked, stooping to pick it up. It wasn't the first time something had been slipped into his locker — mostly flyers for art club meetings, party invites, sometimes a rogue doodle from Yuna when she was bored.

But this?

This felt... intentional.

The fold was too precise. The edges too clean. The paper smelled faintly of sandalwood and something warm — cologne, maybe?

His eyes flicked around the hallway. It was early morning, not many students yet.A few dancers had passed by, laughing in sweats and muscle tanks. Someone had stuck a neon green scrunchie to the top of the vending machine. Normal chaos.

He opened the letter slowly.

"You look best when you're focused — eyes narrowed, lips parted, pencil tapping. You probably don't even know you do that.

But I do.

I notice everything.

– Yours, someday."

Taehyung's heart thumped.

It wasn't signed. No initials. No clues.

Just a clean, silent kind of intensity that crawled under his skin and stayed there.

Later, at lunch, he shoved the note across the table. "Alright. Who did it?"

"Did what?" Yuna grinned, mouth full of fries.

"Don't play innocent," Taehyung rolled his eyes. "This... poetic stalking. Was it you? Or maybe Jimin?"

The table burst into laughter.

Jimin raised his hands in mock surrender. "I wish I was that smooth. Damn."

Hoseok leaned in. "Read it again."

Taehyung hesitated, then did. Slowly. Jungkook — sitting diagonally across, dressed in a black mesh shirt and silver chains — looked a little too casual as he sipped his drink.

"That's hot," Yuna said bluntly. "You've got a secret admirer."

"You think it's someone from class?" Namjoon asked.

"Or someone watching him during class," Seokjin added, wagging his brows.

Taehyung looked down at the note again.

And didn't realize Jungkook was already watching him — gaze soft, teeth tugging at his lip ring like he was dying to be caught.
