The time loop to end all time loops aka the time buddie got stuck in a loop

Both Eddie and buck rush over to try to help, but neither of them get very far, and before they know it 2 more shots ring out, and they're on the floor.

"I told you not to move."

July 5th 2026: attempt to break the loop #2

Buck awakens to a pain in his chest and the urge to run to Eddie to be sure he's okay.

Eddie on the other hand, awakens to a pounding headache, and the same urge to run to buck. Instead he calls him.

Buck picks up immediately. "Eddie? Something weird is happening, I think, no I'm almost certain of it... we're in a time loop Eddie, it's the only thing that makes sense."

Eddie tries to think of something more logical but, he comes up with nothing, so he agrees.

They decide to forego the bank that day, instead Buck goes over to Eddie's and they spend the day together, hoping that maybe, they could end the loop, safely in each other's arms.

Unfortunately for them, fate has other plans and though they fall asleep together, they wake up the next morning, back in their own homes, once again awakening on the morning of July 5th.

July 5th 2026 attempt to break the loop #3

Buck calls Eddie who immediately picks up. "Soooo that didn't work."

"Nope, it didn't, so what do we do now?" Eddie asks.

Buck sighs. "Edds, you're not going to like this but, I think we're meant to stop the gunman, it's the only thing I can think of."

Eddie blanches at the thought, because he can't lose buck, not again, but sighs, resigned to the fact that he might have to, if they had any chance at making it out of the loop. "I know, but you're right, I don't like it." So with that they get ready and Eddie picks buck up, and they head to the bank.

This time though they make sure to check their surroundings as they walk in trying to spot the gunman.

Unfortunately for them that changes things, because they DO spot the gunman, but he spots them as well, sees the fear on their faces, and grins, then he doesn't even hesitate before going right for his gun, this time though they die holding hands, at least.

July 5th 2026: attempt to break the loop #4

This time when they awaken to pain in their sides they forego calling each other and just drive straight to the bank, each knowing the other was in the same mindset.

Buck breathed a sigh of relief seeing Eddie, he knew logically that if he was here, if he was still alive, that meant that so was Eddie, but seeing him in person just solidified that.

Eddie hugged buck as tightly as he could, he really hated that they had to keep dying, that BUCK had to keep dying, he just wanted to break this stupid loop already.

Both boys gazed at the bank for a moment, holding hands before looking back at each other, deciding whether or not to go in.

"Maybe we should take today, strategize a bit, and come back tomorrow with a plan? Because so far what we've done just, it clearly isn't working, and I'd really like to take a bit of a breather honestly." Buck says.

Eddie readily agrees, they leave his truck at the bank, knowing it'd be back at his house the next day, and they go to the loft, picking up some takeout on the way.

They spend the rest of the day strategizing and just going over everything they see every time they walk in the bank, the faces of every single person, the clock on the wall, and the timeline between the moment they walk in, to the moment they die, they write down every single last detail they can remember.
