dimensional shatter

chapter 1 the shatter.

The flow of time proceeds as usual. The same chaos ensues that always does. Even though soon things will change for multiple timelines and might never be the same. But the shatter comes from a battle. Two unknown entities that weren't even known by the timeline travelers battle for reasons only they know. But their immense strength sends a shockwave that shatters time itself while the grand God of time only watches in amusement.

Normally events like these affect one string of timelines connecting a single universe. But not this time. This time many are broken and mended together and with them, horrors as well.

Our story begins in a familiar place to some: in a small little town call Snowdin. Some of you know it and some of you don't. Either way the normal hero of this story, Frisk: is staying in Snowdin for now. Promising that there would be no reset.

However, now they have no choice in the matter. Frisk walks into Grillby's with Sans for some food. They sit and order food just as normal. Suddenly however Grillby's splits in half as one half falls towards a void of darkness.

Sans reacts quickly and grabs Frisk and teleports with them to safety. The two look as only half of Grillby's remains attached to solid ground.

Sans: Well...that's new.

Frisk: Sans. Something feels off.

Sans: No kidding. Grillby...and everyone else on that side is down there.

Frisk: This never happened before!

Sans looks at Frisk with genuine concern.

Sans: I know. That is the scary part.

Suddenly a hand comes up from the void and grabs the edge. A husky figure pulls themselves out of the void. A human.

Sans: Wait. Is that a human?! Here?!

Frisk looks on in confusion as the figure stands up and their body looks like it is oozing blood.

Frisk starts to shake with fear.

Frisk: Sanssss.

Sans: I see, kid. I see.

Sans's eye glows blue as the figure growls and shambles towards them. Sans grabs the soul and throws them back into the abyss.

More hands appear and more figures appear from the abyss. These ones run in different directions and some charges towards Sans and Frisk.

Sans puts down walls of blue bones that cause the figures souls to break after passing through a few.

The figures fall down dead as screams can be heard throughout Snowdin as the monsters are attacked by the unknown figures. And only more seem to pop out of the abyss and join in the chaos.

Sans: We got to find Papyrus! Come on, kid: grab on!

Frisk grabs Sans's hand and he teleports them to the home of Sans and Papyrus. They enter to see figures ransacking the place with chaotic movements. They stop as they notice the duo and attempt to attack. Sans defeats them easily and they move upstairs.

Sans: Papyrus! Papyrus!

Sounds of a struggle can be heard from Papyrus's room. They burst into the room to see Papyrus struggling to keep two of these humans at bay with a large bone. Suddenly, a portal opens and it seems to sucked Papyrus and the two humans through it almost in an instant.

Sans: NO!

Frisk looks away in sadness as Sans falls to his knees with a shocked expression.

Frisk: Sans. We...have to go.
