Sport articles were buzzing. Podcast episodes were being released left and right. News had just broken that not only was the Porsche manufacturer creating a Formula One team, but the team was to be the first in history to consist of two female drivers – and they were complete unknowns to Formula One fans.
Starting in karting, ANNIE DURAND and HADLEY MARRERO had worked their way up in smaller national championships in their respective home countries of France and Spain. They were both consistent winners, taking home trophy after trophy each weekend, yet both being very private girls, they managed to stay out of the spotlight until their respective signings with the newest Formula 1 team.
Now they were in the big leagues – and they weren't just going to show up.
They were going to win.
DEAN HOUGHTON on the other hand had made a name for himself prior to replacing Lance Stroll as an Aston Martin driver, working rigorously through Formulas 3 and 2 to earn his spot at the top. When Stroll announced he wouldn't be continuing his career after an injury to his hands, his seat for 2026 needed to be filled, and Aston Martin knew exactly who was going to fill it for them.
