In this universe, humans are divided into three secondary genders:
🔥 Alphas
Dominant. Natural-born leaders. Strongest physically and hormonally.
Can go into ruts, heightened sexual aggression and possessiveness.
Can impregnate Omegas.
Extremely territorial, especially with their fated mate.
Known for releasing pheromones to intimidate, seduce, or dominate.
Mates: Can form bond marks on Omegas via biting the neck during a claiming.
🌿 Betas
Neutral, no scent, infertile with Omegas.
Make up the majority of the population.
Function normally in society without the hormonal extremes.
Not affected by ruts or heats.
Can have relationships with anyone but can’t form a bond mark.
🌸 Omegas
Submissive in hierarchy but emotionally complex and resilient.
Can go into heats, a cycle of intense desire and vulnerability.
Bearers — capable of getting pregnant and giving birth.
Their scent is strongest during heats and can drive Alphas into rut.
Can take suppressants to hide their scent or avoid heats.
Most Omegas hide their gender in elite society due to prejudice.
