Daisy's POV

The next morning Josh had dropped Daisy back at the airport, still incredibly hungover, and ready to board her flight back to London.

"Don't be a stranger, okay? It's been way too long." Josh told her, wrapping her in a hug as she stood on the pavement with her suitcase in hand.

"I can't come back too often if you're going to make me go out like that, I'll die of alcohol poisoning." She joked. "I'll come back, I promise."

"That's a better answer." He smiled. "And don't pretend you didn't have fun last night, looked to me like it was just what you needed."

"It was a good night." She agreed with a nod. "Just like the old days at uni."

"Only a much nicer club with much more expensive drinks." Josh laughed. "Have a safe trip home, okay? I'll see you soon."

With one last hug and a wave she turned and headed into the airport, Josh climbing back into the car with Connor and heading back to Monaco.

Daisy wandered into the airport, squinting at the bright artificial lights above her head. Josh was right, they'd had a great night, but her head was definitely paying the price for it. She couldn't remember the last time that she had been quite so hungover, and all she could do was hope that it had faded before she had to go back to work the next day or she was going to be suffering even more than she was now.

As she made her way through the duty free and towards the departures area to wait for her flight she paused for half a step, eyes drawn to a huge billboard on the wall. There, because it seemed like he was haunting her every step the last few days, was huge billboard advert for Mastercard, Oscar and his teammate looking down on her.

She lingered for just a second, then with a quiet shake of her head carried on towards her gate. The sooner she got back to London, and more crucially away from all the memories of her and Oscar, the better.

When she got home she had crawled into bed to sleep off the rest of the hangover. Before she knew it, her alarm was going off and it was time to go back to work.

The office was quiet when she walked in, and she logged onto her computer and began sorting through her emails. It was maybe an hour or so later when her boss, Sophie, arrived.

"Morning." She called with a smile as she watched Sophie walk over to her office.

"Ah, Daisy! Just the person!" Sophie looked relieved to see her. "Can you come in for a minute?"

"Sure." Daisy answered nervously, she was fairly sure she hadn't done anything wrong- she hadn't even been here- but nevertheless the fear quickly settled in.

"Don't look at me like that." Sophie laughed as Daisy nervously made her way into the office and closed the door. "You haven't done anything wrong, it's nothing bad."

"Oh thank god." Daisy let out a sigh of relief. "What's up?"

Sophie gestured for her to have a seat. "First of all, how was Monaco?"

"Yeah, the wedding was good. Nice to catch up with old friends." Daisy smiled.

"Good, good." Sophie nodded. "You deserved the break. But... you're back now and I've got a special assignment for you."
