This is just a general introduction to this story: I haven't written for so long but decided to start again and depending on the engagement, I will be attempting to complete it. This story is purely a reenactment of the backstory of the Yugi twins. Although it was upsetting to lose TWO-FACED on here, considering the new information Aidairo has given us, it's an opportunity to incorporate it and change the characters dynamics/ reasons. It's very different (only some slight similarities.) If you ever wish to read TWO-FACED or, are new to my account, it's still up there on AO3. Thank you.
When they were younger, a mysterious enigma was found lurking underneath their house, offering to grant any desire that they presented to it for something equally as valuable in return. But, upon a seriously unsettling event, the twins vowed to each other to never seek its aid again, attempting to conceal it along with the demands of their heart.
It's been 9 years since that day.
Yugi Amane holds a wish that eats away at every part of him; a much more dark , unexpected one...
Despite how it burns him to keep it hidden away, he restrains himself, however, one day a tragic happening even more important to him forces his hand to unbury the enigma.
