Nowhere Near You || Calum Hood

Chapter 1

I woke up to the sun shining through my curtains. It was Saturday, May 20th, the day of the concert. I was so excited. I was finally going to see my favorite band that i've been supporting for over a year now. It was 8am, so i had plenty of time to get ready for the concert. I got up and decided to take a long shower.

I had already picked my clothes for the concert, which wasn't an easy job. I was wearing a pair of black skinny jeans, a white shirt with the 5sos logo on it, a black leather jacket on top of it and a pair of black converse. It was a pretty standard outfit, but I liked it and I felt comfortable in it. I applied a little bit of make-up, just some mascara, eyeliner and lipstick. I thought I'd sweat all my make-up off anyways so I didn't really want to put a lot of effort in my make-up.

After I got ready, I went downstairs. My mom was sitting on the couch reading a newspaper.

"Good morning mom!"

"Good morning sweetie, are you excited for tonight?" she asked.

"Oh my god, yes, i am so excited!!" I replied. My mom just gave me a smile and continued reading her newspaper.

After I had breakfast, I went back in my room again. I grabbed my phone and texted Zoey, my best friend.

me: ZOEY!

me: ZOEEEYY

me: CONCERT

Zoey has been my best friend since I was 10. She has always been there for me and I really love her for that. She's also going to the concert with me. She isn't like super in love with 5sos like I am, but she likes their music and she wants to go to the concert.

A few minutes later i received a text from Zoey.

zo: jesus christ calm down

me: I CANT I AM TOO EXCITED

zo: ok ok i'm kinda excited too

zo: you're gonna pick me up at 5 right?

me: well i'm kinda bored now and i kinda want to go to Amsterdam now so i can just walk around and check out the city, do you wanna come with me?

zo: i want to but i promised my mom i would go shopping with her today, im sorry :(

me: oh thats okay :) we can meet in front of the venue or sth

zo: yeah alright at 5pm?

me: okay sounds like a plan

I grabbed a bag and put some things in there that i needed for today. It was 11am now and I was getting bored and I was too excited to stay home and do nothing. Once I got all my stuff packed, I went downstairs. Both my parents were downstairs now and they were on the couch watching some tv-show.

"Mom, dad, I'm leaving now, okay?"

"Why are you leaving so early?" my dad asked.

"I'm kinda bored and I am just too excited to stay home"

"Alright, have fun!"

"Bye dad, bye mom!"

I got in my car and drove to Amsterdam, it was just a 15 minute drive from my house so i got there pretty fast. I found a parking lot and parked my car. I decided to just walk around, go into some stores and maybe buy some things.

After like 2 hours of walking around i was getting a little tired of it and I was also getting hungry so I decided to get some lunch. I found a cute little cafe at the end of the street I was in and stepped inside. The smell of coffee and sandwiches immediately welcomed me. And it made me even more hungry so I quickly got in the line to get food.

"Hi what can I get you?" the girl behind the counter asked.

"Ehm can I get a coffee latte and a chicken sandwich please?"

"Alright, that will be €5,50"

I handed her my money and thanked her for the food. I turned around to go find a seat when the girl asked:

"Hey you're wearing a 5sos shirt, you going to the show tonight?"

I smiled and answered: "Yeah, I am! Are you going too?"

She smiled too and said: "Hell yes! What section are you in?"

"I'm in 106, you?"

"Aye, so am I! But I'm gonna let you eat now so I'll see you later!"

"See ya."

I always found it incredible how a band can bring so many people together. Because of this band, 5sos, I got to know a lot of lovely people. And I guess that's one of the many reasons why I love them.

After I finished my lunch I went outside again. I was walking around and I was on my phone so I didn't see the person in front of me until I bumped into him. I looked up and said:

"Oh my god, sorry, I didn't see you coming."

The boy I bumped into also looked up. That was when I realized he wasn't just a stranger. It was Calum Hood. As in Calum Hood from 5sos. My eyes grew wider and I started panicking. I was trying not to freak out in front of him but it was really hard. He looked beautiful, he looked beautiful in pictures, but he looked even more beautiful in real life. I was so lost in my own thoughts, I didn't even hear him talking to me.

"Are you even listening?!" he snapped at me. I got back to reality and said:

"I'm sorry I didn't hear you, what did you say?"
