Maids scurry across May's lavish bedroom as they try to hurriedly pack last minute.
"Your majesty! What bag did you say you want your hairbrush in?" One of the maids asked as they went over to Princess May.
"Oh don't worry, William has already packed all of the necessary things," Princess May says with her soft tone. May was in the middle of trying to understand the meaning behind the letter her father had received earlier. The letter was from the neighboring Kingdom, Welsh. Weirdly the two kingdoms relationships weren't exactly there best, so to receive a letter from the King Henry himself asking to meet was strange.
May stares at the letter a bit longer, her long, thick black hair falling down the side of her face as she studies it. All she could think about was 'what if it's a set up'. May finally snapped out of her trance state as her Royal Adviser William came in.
"Your majesty, the carriage is ready for you," He says in his normal emotionless tone. William had never been one to explain his thoughts or show his emotions, but he was smart so her father trusted him.
"Alright, thank you. I will be down shortly," May says politely as she gets up and goes to her bed to grab her cloak to put on. She slips into it and pauses as she glanced at the letter. "Can't forget you," she says with a dry chuckle before she grabs the letter and stuffs it into a pocket in the robe. May then quickly but gracefully exited her room to see the sight of maids bringing her stuff down to pack into the carriage. May swiftly passes them and walks down the stairs. Once she finally reached the front doors her personal Guard catches up with her.
"Hey Bernard ," May says with a sweet smile, Bernard just nods to greet her and walks with her outside. The sight was almost funny as maids were trying to fit ever since bag of May's into the small trunk of the carriage.
"Where's my Mother and father?" May asks curiously as her brows furrow assuming what always happened.
"The king and queen are busy, they did request you to stop by a town near the border, more on the country side," Bernard says in his calm voice, almost as if he felt sort of bad for May. May's parents were never around and when they were they were only there for short periods of time.
"Ah, okay. We will check it out then," May says in a slightly disappointed tone. Bernard then grabs May's waist then lifts her up into the carriage, May scoots over to make room for Bernard. A few moments later the maids finish playing Tetris with her bags and close the trunk. Bernard gives instructions to the Person leading the carriage and then they set off north.
