Miracula Stellae

Prologue

Everyone ran around frantically in the palace as walls crumbled and ceilings fell. Amidst the commotion stood the Prince and Princess of Miracula Stellae. Beside both stood their guards.

"But I can't leave you here! You're still weak..." the Prince said, his worry evident.

"No. You have to leave. You've done so much for me, I have to repay you somehow. So I've decided. I'll repay you for everything by staying behind and protecting our planet." she said firmly in response.

His face softened. "Saki..."

"Go brother, go. Take Emu, Nene and Rui with you. Me, Ichi, Hona and Shiho have got this."

He was warmed by her words but also worried. He didn't want to leave her. She was so adamant on staying behind though. Relucantly, he agreed. She took his hand and squeezed it. It was a gentle and reasurring sort of squeeze. Silently, it told him that she would be okay.

"Goodbye Saki."

"Goodbye brother."

He turned to leave with Rui and Nene following behind him. Saki called Emu over to her.

"Yes princess?" Emu asked, her eyes sparkling like usual.

Saki held out a case, shaped like a camellia flower. "Take this if you need help. It can grant 4 people powers. Don't use it randomly though."

"Okay!! I'll keep that in mind."

"Thank you Emu. Look after my brother with the other two. Don't lose him."

"We won't lose Tsukasa at all! Trust me!!"

Saki smiled happily and handed the case to her. Emu took it and bounced off after Tsukasa, Rui and Nene.

She turned to look at her closest guards, Ichika, Honami and Shiho.

"Is the enemy approaching the castle?"

Shiho nodded. "They're coming closer. Much closer."

Saki looked up at the broken window, her attention on the distance. "Are the people safe?"

"Yes, we managed to evacuate everyone to outside of the area the enemy are in or planning to enter. Everyone is safe." Honami replied.

Ichika spoke up. "We should be safe too though taken how the castle looks like rubble from the outside already."

"Are you safe?" a soft voice said behind them.

All four of them turn around slowly. Behind them stood two girls, one with long white hair and blue eyes and the other with dark purple hair tied in a ponytail and purple eyes. Saki glared. The other three became tense and pulled out their weapons.

"How did you get in?" Ichika asked.

The purple haired girl replied. "We have our ways."

"Tch. Of course you do..." Shiho growled.

The six of them remained in silence for a bit before the white haired girl spoke, cutting the silence.

"The princess seems oddly quiet. Is this her surrendering?"

Saki was quick to respond. "No. It isn't Kanade. What do you and Mafuyu want from us?"

She chuckled softly in response. It was almost unnerving "Why would I reveal that."

While the other three were focused on the two girls, Honami was focused outside.

"Princess...there-there's something coming towards us..."

"Huh?" she turns around.

And then they see it.  A pink glowing beam headed straight to them. The light blinded them as it hit. As much as they tried, none of them could move or speak. The only thing that could be heard was Saki's scream before it hit. Kanade and the purple haired girl watched it happen with small twisted smiles. A robot flew next to Kanade. It was pink and looked like a fox.
