Angela's POV

It had been just two years.
     Only two years since then.

Two years since I passed with the highest score in the country, graduated as valedictorian, and was offered a job in a prestigious law firm.

Just a few months after I had graduated, I was given a murder case from Cincinnati. It turned out to be a major case, which put plenty of pressure on me because I was a new prosecutor. I worked day and night with the case. In the end, I won and was put all over the news to be considered one of the best lawyers out today.

After the Cincinnati case, I worked on many more for about a year. I decided to take classes that would qualify me as a profiler to help me understand the criminal mind better. I wanted to truly know how they think.

I studied for about a year until I was satisfied with the information I received. Since I had most of the qualifications already, I only had to study more in psychology and forensics. I took the test once I was able to qualify, as I wanted to spend a year or two working as a profiler. I took the physical fitness test, gun qualification test, psycho evaluation, and all of the written tests. Once I passed all of them, I received my license.

My aunt offered me a job on a BAU team in Quantico, where my parents lived. She said that she could pull a few strings and that her bosses would be delighted to have me on the team. I wanted to refuse, but I really couldn't. It would look incredibly bad for me if I turned down my superiors. That wouldn't help me when I get back to my job as a lawyer.

Now, here I was, two years from being a senior in college, twenty-four years old. I was getting ready for my first day at the BAU. Assuming that I won't be doing much on my first day other than paperwork and settling in, I don't feel the need to go all out. I only put light makeup and a white blouse with a black pencil skirt. My brown hair was down and in its natural waves.

I made it to my car and drove off to the address my aunt had given me. She said she'd introduce me to my new team once I arrived. I drove up to the building and made it past security. I knocked on her office door, and she walked out and smiled at me.

Pulling off her glasses, she said, "Angela, darling, how are you?"

"I'm well. How about you?" I asked, letting go from our hug.

She began to walk and motioned me to follow.
"Good. I hope you're ready to start your day. Everyone from the board is so excited to have you here. You, missy, have a standard to uphold. Especially because of your auntie."

She continued on, "You'll love your team. They're great people  They can be trouble sometimes, and a handful.."

She turned around to look at me, "But I think that with you there, you'll balance them out." She continued walking and showed me to my desk and small cubicle.

"What do you mean, trouble?" I raised my eyebrows at her.

"Oh, it's nothing. They just, break the rules sometimes. But if they do, let me know. You've read the rules and regulations."

I nodded, slightly frustrated that I was put on a 'troubled' team. From her description, I don't know what to expect.

"Come. I'll introduce you to your team while they're still here. Most times, they're out or in the meeting room." Her heels clicked as she walked.

We walked to a room with a gold plaque on the door that said MEETING ROOM in bold black letters. My aunt knocked on the door while she turned the knob.

She began to speak, "Hello. I hope I'm not interrupting anything, but I wanted to introduce you to your new member. I'm sure you were aware that she would be coming in today."

A man with dark brown hair and a stern look on his face looked slightly irritated as he spoke. "Of course, Chief Strauss."
