-Third Person POV-
Location: Stark Tower
Peter buried himself deeper into the covers, a small huff leaving his lips. He knew he needed to get up soon or he would be late for school, but he wanted nothing more than to stay wrapped up in the safety of his bed.
Before he even had a choice to stay in bed, a knock sounded from his door.
"Hey Pete, are you awake?" Bucky called out from behind the door, a small smile gracing his lips. He knew his brother wanted to stay in bed, but if he left it any later, he would be late getting to school.
A sigh slipped past Peters lips as he pulled the covers from over his head before shouting back, "I'm up, I'm up. I'll be out in a minute, Bucky."
Peter heard as Bucky walked away after that, his footsteps light and carefree. He glanced around his room, seeing how homely it now was. Iron-man posters scattered around the room, a couple Spider-Man posters on the wall too. Pictures lined the desk at the side of his room, one of his parents, a few of him and his uncle, and many more of Peter with Bucky, Tony and the others.
A yawn slipped from Peters lips as he stretched out his limbs before climbing out of bed. He glanced out at the weather; autumn was beginning to take hold, and the days were getting colder. Peter pulled open the walk-in closet and stepped inside; he grabbed a t-shirt, Bucky's hoodie and some joggers.
Turning around, Peter shut the door behind him and made his way into the bathroom.
"Good morning, FRIDAY. Please could you turn the shower on, nice and warm, please?" Peter voiced.
The shower sprung to life, steam bellowing out as the water stream fell to the floor.
Peter glanced into the mirror, barely recognising the person staring back at him. Bruises no longer sat snugly on his face, no cuts or gashes joining them. His brown eyes were bright and shining, a smile always gracing his face.
After May had been convicted, Peter was quickly adopted by Tony Stark, his now father. Bucky was quickly named the next guardian (if God forbid something were to happen to Tony,) but both Bucky and Peter saw each other as brothers.
Six months had passed since May got sent down, and Peter could honestly say he was happy. He had an actual family, he could sleep without worrying he would be woken up by a fist to the face; he was also able to eat his fill of food whenever he wanted.
The Avengers had been quick to become a family again once Peter had been adopted. They were all quick to become Peters aunts and uncles.
Tony had put Bucky's room right next to Peters to allow the pair to be close. Though the two of them were the only ones who had a room on the penthouse, as well as, of course, Tony and Pepper, who were down the hall from them. All the others were one level below them on the Avenger's floor.
Peter had gotten into a quick routine with his newfound family. Every other night at around 10pm, Peter would find his way to Bucky's room, the pair of them watching a film or show together, chatting until one of them (nine out of ten times Peter) would fall asleep.
Every day after school, Peter would go patrolling until about 7pm. Once home, he would eat dinner with his family, then go down to the lab with his dad, working on everything and anything he could think of.
Every now and again, Peter would wake up early enough to go for a run with his Uncle Steve and Sam; sometimes Bucky would join them, though not all the time.
Peter would also sometimes hang out with his Auntie Natasha and Wanda, who would have a gossip session and watch chick flicks. Peter would never admit it, but he loved doing this a lot with the pair of them.
