As I walked towards the mildwisher police station my confidence dropped. My mind racing as I got closer to the building, but I didn't want to make a fool of myself the first day of my new job. I took a deep breath in and then walked into the station.
When I walked into the building I saw the building was packed with police officers and civilians. The air smelled like coffee and dounts but not just any donuts the warm kind, freshly baked kind.
I looked at my watch and saw I needed to get changed quickly so I walked towards a female police officer and asked where the locker room was. She pointed down the hall and I thanked her before going where she had pointed me to.
Walking into the locker room my eyes wideden as I had just walked into the men's locker room. Shit. The police officer tricked me. On my first day. I slowly backed out the men's room and walked into the female's locker room and got dressed as quick as I could.
Quickly as I could I walked into the briefing room and sat at the front. I noticed my two best friends sat right next to me and I smiled at them. The room filled with loads of other officers and chatter before everything went silent when what I presumed to be Sgt. Grey.
"Good morning to you all," he started "as you all can see we got new blood today, stand up and tell us your name and badge number." He told the three of us. "My name is y/n l/n and my badge number is 24376" I smiled. "My name is Lexi addler and my badge number is 34890" Lexi said with a serious look. "Hey my name is Buckly Diaz and my badge number is 52761" he said and we looked towards grey again.
"You can all sit down now" he said, "right time to play my favorite game, Lopez you get Diaz, Harper You get Lexi and Bradford you get L/n." He said and I looked back at my TO but to my disappointment he just kept looking forward. I turned back at Grey, "Alright nothing further." He finished and I got up and went over to my TO.
"Get the war bags boot" He said and walked away without a word. I nodded my head and went to get the war bags. My hand full with the equipment so he put on my body cam for me.
"This is a shop. Do not call it a car or anything else. Always check the car make sure the previous guy did not leave anything. Then log any dents or anything that has ruined the shop. Put the wars bags in the shop and check your body cam." We then got into the shop.
We had just started to patrol the streets of LA, which in my opinion was quite beaut-. The car can to sudden stop and I hears my TO shout "I've been shot. Where are you boot? I'm bleeding to death. Where are you?" I squabled around looking for a sign saying where we are but absolutely nothing was here. "And now I'm dead" He sighed. "Get out" he said. "What?" I answered back. "Are you deaf boot. I said get out." He said in a slightly angrier tone so I got out as quick as I could.
I closed the shop door and he spoke up again. "You will walk along side the shop until you know where you are." He said and started the car again and I stood there for a second before I stared walking with the shop.
"Why did you join the academy?" My TO asked. "Well since I was young my dream was to become a doctor just like my parents but I witnessed my dad's death and it made me want to help other people and arrest the bad people." I finished and the silence was back before he spoke up. "Sorry you had to witness his death." He said, "Thanks" I replied.
"Do you know where we are yet, boot?" He asked keeping his eyes on the road. "Sunset Blvd" I replied also not looking gat him until he had stopped the shop and told me to get in again.
It was now lunch and we went to a place where all cops go for lunch. An area surrounded by food trucks. "Your buying boot." My TO said. "OK, but what do I get you?" I asked him. He then looked at me and said, "Surprise me boot" He than sat down with the other two TO's.
I walked towards the truck and ordered some food and asked for extra hot sauce. I then brought my TO his food. "Did you put hot sauce in here boot?" He looked at me and I placed the hot sauce on the table. "Look at that Bradford you got a rookie who can get something right."
I smiled and walked away. Turned towards the other two rookies. "Gosh. My TO is-" but before I could finish my sentence Lexi interrupted me. "Hot" She said with a seductive smile. I looked at her and slapped her with only a little bit of force but the drama queen she is overreacted. "Your so mean y/n." She said to me rubbing her arm. "No your just ridiculous Lexi." I said back to her.
"Boot let's go" my TO shouted. "Bye guys" I said quickly and left them as quick as I had sat down. Getting into the shop and driving off.
We had arrived at an abandoned alyway and we had got out the shop and he signaled me to go round back while he went front. I walked into the house, gun in hand and walked as quietly as I could.
Everything was all clear and as I went to grab my radio I heard a gun shot.
