'Missing' in space

-- CHAPTER ONE --

When his youngest had seen the Astronaunts on TV for the first time, he had been six years old. Eyes glowing with amazement at the News of their plans and tests, He would always remember the youngest face then, the big smile on his face as he listened to what they had to say. He loved the soft amazed look of his sons. He could never miss a moment to see them happy.

It wasn't long after that the young boys room was full of books, figures and posters of astronauts, or when he started talking about wanting to become one aswell, explore the galaxy and maybe even help Earth with what he finds. Of course he didn't know everything with only ten years , but he understood many things.

Techno and Tubbo hadn't been too amazed by their brothers  idea, but there was no stopping him, everyone knew that when he didn't stop talking about it after two months. He kept going, kept learning and teaching himself, kept watching the stars at night and dream about the life out there. No one could stop him. This was his Dream, only his.

And at only eighteen he started his astronaut school. He moved away from his family, but they never stopped talking, they kept in contact. They were sad to see him go, but happy to see him achive his Dreams. He will do everything to finally finish it completly, become an official astronaut and not just studying for it, and they knew he could do it.

So it wasn't really unexpected when he suddenly talked about wanting to join the Team who would go to space in years time. The first humans to not just go to mars or anywhere else, but stay there in Galaxy for a long time, find whats not been found. They hated every thought coming to mind, he could get lost, he could meet some cruel creatures and what if he never came back? But when Tommy send out his application and even got accepted to that aswell, they knew there was nothing to do. Only be there for him, that was their only option in this Situation.

"You're sure you want to do this?" Phil asked one last time, his youngest in his arms that he refused to let go of. "yes." Tommy responed without hestitation , he slowly pulled back showing his glowing eyes with tears and his small smile "I'll be back, I promise"

"but when?" Phil asked, his voice breaking at the end. Tommy was only twenty-one years old and leaving to space. He couldn't bare to see his son leave like this

"Sooner than you think Guys, I will be back safe and sound" he looked at his brothers with a soft and understanding expression "I know.. I know it's not easy to see me go, it also isn't easy to leave-" "Then don't." interrupted his oldest Brother Techno "-but, i know i can do this. Just trust me, we should be back in a few years time so do not worry"

It was quiet for a bit between them, Tommys team eventually calling for him,and so with one last hug and goodbye he left. He left for now, he would be back. He had to.

And so for the next years they were living their lifes without him. It was rare to get to call Tommy, he was always too busy out there. For the first few months everything went great, Tommy would update them regulary by a message or even a call on rare occasions, they would share what they did one by one if they had the chance. Phil started to work more at his company, slowly getting it to be one of the popular companys around their home, Techno continued Teaching children and working up to become an fencing teacher aswell and not just a normal school Teacher. Tubbo continued school, and made sure to keep his promise to his brother to keep watch over their friends. 

Everything was fine, They lived their lives, learning, teaching, working, exploring and many other things. But slowly after Time Tommy responded less and less to them, from a few days not responding to two weeks, then a month and eventually even longer. He wouldn't tell them why, he stopped telling them everything he explored or found, only promising he would be back in year three like planned. And so they kept going with their lives. Even if Tommy was out there somehwhere and they had no idea what he was doing, they knew he would be back soon.
