SIRIUS DIDNT MENTION THAT quidditch matches were so cold. And with that being said, Alina was glad she had never came to one before as the bitter air nipped at her nose. She was in the stands, Vee by her side, as both girls sported their jerseys in support of their house. Regrettably, Alina had ended up wearing one of Sirius' old jerseys.
She didn't know how or why, but the sly dog had tricked her into putting it on. And now, she stood out like a sore thumb with the BLACK 13 on her back. Almost like her own scarlet letter, as it attracted the attention of almost everyone in their own. Girls glared at Alina, wishing it was them and boy glared at Sirius, wishing they were him.
But the only girl who was smug about it was Vee, who was rocking her own jersey with the name KAPRANICK 8 on the back.
"Well, don't you look cozy," Vee teased Alina about the jersey, of course. Rolling her eyes, Alina ignored her friend but a small blush crossed her face, matching her hair.
"Shut up," Alina mumbled, obviously embarrassed. "He made me wear it," She told Vee, who didn't believe her for a second.
"Mhmm. Sure, let's go with that," She snickered. Alina huffed. "Can't you just watch the game? Look - there's Jax hitting the ball with his stick thingy. What position does he play again?"
Alina was shamelessly trying to get the attention off of her. And it worked by mentioning Jax's name. Sort of. "Jax is a beater," Vee reminded Alina, her brown eyes watching him in the sky. "Didn't Sirius tell you anything about Quidditch?"
You would think Alina snorted in her mind - but no. Sirius didn't tell her anything except to show up. Which was kind of not helpful now that she thought about it, but what could she do now? She was already there.
"Ohh, Lina look! Sirius has got the ball," Vee shook Alina's arm excitedly, breaking her out of her thoughts. Looking up towards the sky, Alina saw that Vee was indeed right. Sirius had the ball and it looked like he was about to score - and then he did.
"Whoo!" The Gryffindor crowd went wild making Alina wince at how loud it was. Vee didn't seem to mind though and cheered too, making Alina nearly go deaf.
"I take it Quidditch is pretty serious around here!" She yelled to Vee over the noise. The girl in turn simply nodded, then she focused her attention back on the game. This time cheering for Jax as he protected Marco - another chaser - from getting hit.
Too bad it didn't hit him Alina thought solemnly. Maybe it would have knocked some sense into Jax about Vee.
She snickered quietly and shook her head at her own thoughts. Then, she decided to actually watch the game. Maybe it was the jersey or maybe it was because he had been the main one getting on her nerves lately, but Alina's eyes immediately went to Sirius' frame in the air.
