𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐎𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐞 (𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝟏)

~~April 7th ~ First Day ~ 08:00 ~~

On the first day of school, your parents gave you a tearful goodbye as if you were 4 years old again. After being showered with hugs and kisses, you were off to school. You didn't live super far from the school, you could easily get on the train to take you there. But you thought it would be a great idea to walk to UA - to train you more on how to hike elevated terrains.

It would take you at least 20 minutes to get there but you didn't mind the peaceful walk. Your phone buzzed periodically in your blazer's pocket, sliding it out, you saw Ashido Mina's name flashing on the screen.

The two of you had met the day of the entrance exam, hitting off almost immediately. Clicking the answer button, you held it to your ear as you continued your soft jogging.

"Hey! Good morning Ashido!"

"Good morning, Y/N! You know you can call me Mina, I practically live in your house already!" She giggled, proud of how quickly the two of you became attached to the hip.

You scoffed knowingly, not being able to suppress a smile, "And we've only known each other for a few days!"

"What can I say? I am just that irresistible!" she purred, you could already imagine the face she was making.

"Whatever, did you need something?"

"I know you're probably walking to school like a psycho."

"I'm not a psycho, plus how do you know that? Are you stalking me?"

"Don't question me."

"Wha-"

"I was just wondering if you wanna meet up at school!"

"Sure, girl."

"Okay got it, love ya babes!"

"Bye, love you too!"

After hearing the familiar hang-up sound beep in your ear, you stuffed your phone back into your blazer pocket, savouring the peaceful morning air. "Mina doesn't know what she's talking about. Who wouldn't enjoy a nice, peaceful walk in the morning?' you scoffed, stubbornly refusing to believe your determination was, at times, a bit much.

You sighed, your eyes drifted over the shops on the street. You weren't exactly the most sociable person, you often focused on your schoolwork and hero training. Mina might be the first best friend you've ever had, you weren't exactly prideful about it but you had a friend nonetheless.

As you neared UA, you saw a sea of students wearing the UA uniform slowly gather at the gates. You couldn't help but get excited, a bright smile creeped on your lips.

"Y/N!" a flash of pink squealed, rugby tackling you into a hug. You shrieked as you took a step back to stabilise yourself, "Mina! You can't do that! We could have fallen!" you lectured.

"But you're so strong!"

"You're lucky I am. Now please get off me..." Mina's clutch only got tighter as you tried to peel her off of you. "Mina get off!"

"No!"

"Stop being a child and get off of me before I bite you!"

"I'll bite you back!"

"Mina! You're making us look crazy!"

"Just carry me to class!" you groaned, pinching the bridge of your nose as the pinkette clung to you like a koala.

"Please?" she dragged out the last syllable as she tried to give you puppy dog eyes. Your E/C eyes bore into hers as you covered your mouth with your hand in fake-disappointment. You hadn't noticed but students were narrowly avoiding and staring at you two.
