You know what, jo hona hai, hoke hi rehta hai...
Like every other day, Karishma was sitting in her cabin, thinking something very serious. It was visible on her face.
After a long time she exhaled deeply, right the moment her secratary Santosh knocked on the door...
"Come in" Karishma stated.
"Ma'am it's 11. and Mrs. Singh is waiting for you, at the hall" Santosh informed.
"Oh yeah. I'm sorry. I forgot. Give me two minutes. I'm coming" Santosh nodded assertively.
In the way of hall, while passing the working area Karishma found familiar faces. Her employees, stuffs, workers everyone was there looking forward in confusion.
"Hey, guys. I hope you'll are doing good." She smiled and received assertive nods from everyone.
"Great. So, continue." They were shocked at first. It was the first time they spotted Karishma speaking so calmly.
At the hall, she found Mrs. Singh who was eventually her mother also, was waiting for her. She called her with an immediate note. "
I'm here to inform you that, I'm selling this brand" the hall was at pin drop silence, as if she has dropped a verbal bomb.
Mrs. Singh was shocked as well as Santosh herself was.
"I know, it's tough for you, but don't worry our every employee will have a job. As per company's agreement they all will have a job in different companies. I have talked to Mr. Goenka, Mr. Oberoi and Mr. Chaturvedi personally and they have ensured me, that no one will be left jobless." She exhaled deeply.
"But beta, what happened suddenly?" She inquired.
"As you know, few months back our one store caught fire, and that was full with our new collections. We had an immense loss. The accounts of our brands are gradually falling. I tried, hired new workers, paid them for over time but unfortunately I couldn't make it." She composed herself.
Karishma always had a tough gesture infront of everyone, but the fact that no one actually can deny that she has a pure heart. Her father established this company. "Youth" is not just a brand, it's the face of this young generation.
Karishma's father was a real gentleman indeed. He never did any charity for fame but he genuinely used to help many orphanage homes with their left clothes. Not only clothes, shelter, food, educational funds everything, he used to provide to those children who doesn't have anyone in this cruel world. And Karishma always followed his path.
"Yesterday I had a meeting with Mr. Oberoi. He assured us to help but he wants to Marge" she paused for few seconds "and they are claiming 87% of profit and a promotion of buying our sells" She looked at Santosh.
"What a ridiculous man he is, I wonder. I just don't understand how dad and uncle used to deal with this man" santosh exhaled.
Santosh's father used to assist Mr. Singh, Karishma's father. They were best friends. Actually brothers. They have seen every ups and downs together.
When Santosh's father passed, Mr. Singh almost locked himself in his room. It was tough for him.
Santosh was young at that time. Mr. Singh almost adopted her. Surviving in this world, without parents, can be terrifying for a girl, but They never let her feel alone. Karishma became her mentor, her best friend.
"I'm just out of my mind. I don't know what to do and what not" Karishma turned her face feeling helpless.
"Karishma, we don't want to serve anyone else but you." Santosh reassured.
"You're a genius, if anyone can save us, that's you. Karishma Singh doesn't give up." Santosh words were filled with trust.
Karishma just turned her face, not understanding what to say.
The next few moments were silent.
"We all are with you Karishma." Mrs. Singh kept her hand on her shoulder assuringly.
"Look at their faces. Do you think they deserve this? They have given their entire life to make this brand successful. They are here from the very first day, when your father stepped in this industry. For so many years, they are here. It's not just a company for them, it's a family. We just can't leave them like this."
"Dad might be very disappointed with me. Hai nah maa?" Karishma whispered.
"He was always proud of you. He will, always." Mrs. Singh squizzed her shoulder gently assuring her.
"Santosh, call a meeting. I need to discuss the finance and we have to think other ways." Her voice was firm and confident. Santosh nodded with a smile.
"Maa, I want you to be present there. I need your opinions" she held her hands gently.
"I'll be there."
Pushpa Singh and Mr. Singh used to be the classmates. With time, Mr. Singh fell in love with her. Tho she took so long to say yes. Like 90's romance you know. He used to bring a rose every day for her. She prefered tea always. Mr. Singh learnt to make tea, just for her.
She was always their with him, especially at his lowest. Even she helped him financially also.
So, she definitely deserved to be with him when he was successful.
