In a world without everyone's noses stuck in front of their smartphones and always too preoccupied with Instagram and Twitter to figure out what's happening in the real world, everyone is born with one soul mate, that's just how it is. All your life, you fantasize about who it could be, but you had to wait to discover the true identity of your one and only. Following one's 23rd birthday, at exactly midnight on new years, is when an individual finally finds out who they are destined to be with forever, in a more personal way than anyone could ever think of. At exactly midnight, the two soul mates awaken, possessing the body of their soul mate. It could be your next door neighbor, your best friend, or someone in a completely different country who speaks a completely different language. Until the very last time zone hits midnight, whoever reached midnight earlier stays unconscious until it's January 1st everywhere on the entire Earth. Once it hits 12:00 AM in the last time zone, everyone awakens in their soul mate's body, and it could be in the middle of the night, or in the middle of the afternoon.
Like all the good things in life, there is always a catch. The love that has grown since you were born for your soul mate, whether you have met them before or not, will soon fade away if you do not find your soul mate in time. Everyone is given a two-month period of attempting to find their true love. There are always obstacles, such as school, work, financial problems, family matters, and etc. However, even one second after the two-month period has expired, all the love that has grown inside of you disappears. Whenever you look at your soul mate, you'll feel nothing. Everyone only has one chance at true happiness, and if you screw up once, there's no redo button. You're bound for a life without true love forever.
