Chapter 2: The Captor

Start from the beginning

Voice of the Hero:
Oh, wow.. She's really chained up.

The Narrator:
Well, yes. And you shouldn't say that like it's a bad thing, it will only help you out.

Voice of the Committed:
There she is. It's good to see that she isn't harmed.. but what about the other chains to the side?

The Captor:
You're back. You gave me a lot to think about, and I'm glad you're here.

The Narrator:
Wait.. 'You're back'?

Voice of the Committed:
Welp, there goes that plan...

The Narrator:
You've been here before, haven't you?!

Voice of the Hero:
Well, yeah. When she outright announces it, it's hard to keep it a secret.

The Narrator:
This is horrible. You do realize that an entire world has been doomed due to your actions?

Voice of the Committed:
We didn't do anything wrong, you're the one who made her kill us.

The Narrator:
That doesn't sound like something I'd do. Did you try to free her, or something like that?

Voice of the Hero:
I mean...

Voice of the Committed:
You wanted us to slay her, which we didn't agree to. Sure, we cut her out, but only to ease the situation, not to free her.

The Narrator:
That's where the problem lies. You need to slay her, it's the only reason you're here.

Voice of the Hero:
But.. things reset? We're back here, and everything is fine.

The Narrator:
Nothing 'reset'. You're somewhere else, which in a way means that you have been given a second chance. Don't muck it up this time.

. "You're not mad at me?"

The Narrator:
Sigh. The Princess tilts her head, still smiling.

The Captor:
Of course not. I used to be confused, and scared.. but you showed me the right way. I'm so grateful for that.

The Captor:
I can barely see you. Can you please come closer?

. "Not yet, let's talk a bit more first."

The Narrator:
The Princess bites her lip, thinking over your actions. Well, good luck, because now you have the chance to go back upstairs and grab the blade.

Voice of the Hero:
It feels like she's different. Sure, she's as polite as before.. but she doesn't even seem to want to get out anymore.

Voice of the Committed:
It is a bit strange, yes. But I don't know if it's that big of a deal. We wanted this, yes?

Voice of the Hero:
I'm not so sure anymore. This feels wrong. She can barely move..

. "Are you hungry? I'm sure I could go and find something for you."

The Princess shakes her head.

The Captor:
No, thank you. I don't get hungry.

Voice of the Hero:
That shouldn't be possible.

Voice of the Committed:

You're right, but at least she's not starving.

Voice of the Hero:
But every creature needs food, it's how we survive.

. "What do you want with me?"

The Narrator:
The Princess purses her lips, quiet as she thinks over her words.

The Captor:
I want to talk to you some more. Maybe even give you a hug. You've helped me come to an important realization, after all. I'm grateful for it.
