Patrick had worked all of his high school and college career to become a professional hockey player. So you can say he's more than a little pissed when a fuckboy hits him with his shitty ass car.
The doctor says something like he'll end up missing his whole first season as a professional. The man, who Patrick has been introduced to several times but doesn't care to learn his name, sits there with his head in his hands.
"I'm so sorry," He keeps repeating. Patrick rolls his eyes.
"I'd sue you if I thought you had anything," Patrick says. The guy's head snaps up.
"Excuse me?" He asks, eyes wide. He narrows them at Patrick's emotionless face. "Listen here, asshole--"
"No, you listen here. I've worked since I was fucking six to become something in the hockey world. Now you've fucked me over, and I'm not even sure if I have a chance to play next year," Patrick points, poking the guy's chest as he talks. It's kind of hard, since his knee is in an wrapped and propped up on pillows, but he manages.
"I'm sorry about that, man, but being an ass about all of this isn't going to help anyone," He says. Patrick rolls his eyes and crosses his arms. "So you're not talking to me anymore?" The guy waits for an answer before saying, "Two can play at this game," and then he crosses his arms and leans back in his chair.
That's how Patrick's agent and best friend, Andy, finds them. He stops in the doorway and turns his Bluetooth earpiece off before sighing loudly.
"The fuck you get yourself into this time, Stump?" Andy asks, sitting in the chair on the other side of the bed. He reaches his hand out to Pete, saying, "Hurley. I'm Patrick's agent,"
"Pete Wentz," He says, shaking Andy's hand. So that's his name. Patrick thinks that he looks like a Pete.
"I didn't do anything. This asshole--" Patrick's speaking is cut off by Pete.
"No, this asshole ran out in front of my car. Who the fuck jaywalks nowadays?" Pete asks. Patrick turns to him, and they end up in a heated arguement. Andy wants to kill them both.
"You are both assholes. Even?" He finally asks. Pete and Patrick look offended as they both blurt out 'hey!' and then look at the other as if he stole what was coming out of his mouth.
"What if the Flyers don't want me next season?" Patrick asks Andy. Andy sighs loudly.
"They'd be fucking idiots not to," Andy replies simply. Pete's eyes widen.
"Holy fuck. You're the Patrick Stump," Pete says in amazement. "You're totally gonna think I did this on purpose when I tell you this," Pete smirks.
"What the fuck are you going on about, asshole?" Patrick asks. Pete grins at him.
"I'm the biggest Pittsburg fan you'll ever meet," And Andy's mouth drops open.
so yeah I'm kinda excited about this & hopefully no deaths so yay
