Chapter twelve

"So you want an apology from him, or some sort of gratitude?" mark raised an eyebrow. "That's a new one."

"I mean, I don't think it's hard to initiate a conversation and maybe talk?" Mark continued, giving jaehyun the most reasonable solution.

"Do you expect him to just walk up to the boy, and demand an apology baby?" Donghyuck chimed. "They aren't friends or anything."

"Well, basically he's my new tutor" Jaehyun said nonchalantly.

Mark's eye widened in shock, if he had expected things, well this wasn't one of them."Wait, what? he is your tutor?"

"Yeah, and his name is jungwoo by the way," the two boys were still processing this newly discovered information, staring blankly at jaehyun before Donghyuck spoke.

"How?" He asked

Jaehyun panned his head upwards to look at the boys sitting across from him, "well, we are seat mates, we are classmates, and so Mrs Jo thought it would be a good idea for him to tutor me,"

"Wait! You guys are seat mates!?" Well what a coincidence, the two boys looked at each other, a knowing smile plastered on their faces.

"Yeah," jaehyun looked at them suspiciously and confused.

"So, what do you plan on doing. personally, I feel you shouldn't do anything, because he looks rational. He'll apologize soon."

"Sure, mark. He literally ran away, do you think he's remorseful," Jaehyun questioned, looking all so displeased.

"Well, your he's student. You'll be together most of the time, he'll surely apologize."

Jaehyun's eye sparkles with a mischievous glint as he listened to mark's reassurance. "You're right, mark. I'll just...observe him for now."

"Observe him? What do you mean?" Donghyuck raised an eyebrow, sensing that jaehyun was hiding something. 

Jaehyun's smile grow wider, but he didn't elaborate. "Nothing, just...tutor-student stuff."

Mark and donghyuck exchanged a skeptical look, but jaehyun just smiled and gave one last look to the brunette, before he unexpectedly rose up from the table. Bye, I'm off to class now," the older male said as made his way out of the cafeteria.

Jaehyun walked out of the cafeteria, his mind racing with a plan, he was determined. He wanted that apology, he didn't know why though, but he atleast wanted an explanation.

Mark and Donghyuck exchanged confused glances, they had not a single clue what their friend was up to. "What's going on with jaehyun?" Mark asked, his brow furrowed. "I don't know, but I think we should keep an eye on him. It's so unlike him to behave this way."

The two concluded, finishing up on their lunch and heading to class together.

Meanwhile, jungwoo watched jaehyun leave the cafeteria, a look of concern and fear on his face. He had noticed jaehyun's intense gaze earlier and wondered what was going on. He felt bad also, boy he didn't know how to go about talking to jaehyun, he was more than happy that renjun was joining the tutoring session today, it was a blessing.

"What's wrong jungwoo?" Renjun asked in a soft calm tone, worried about jungwoo who was spacing out.

Jungwoo snapped back to reality, his eyes focusing on Renjun's concerned expression. "Nothing, I'm fine," jungwoo replied with a weak smile.

Renjun was skeptical, he sensed that jungwoo was conflicted about something, something that had jaehyun written all over it. "You sure, because you've been spacing out ever since jaehyun left. I noticed the way he's been glaring at you, what's going on between you two?"

Jungwoo hesitated before answering, he and renjun still weren't that close, "it's really nothing renjun, don't worry, I'm fine," the brunette said sending a reassuring smile towards renjun, and for a second their eyes locked, making renjun's heart flutter a bit.

"Okay, hyung. If you say so."

As the two boys walked out of the cafeteria, renjun trailed behind jungwoo, his eyes fixed on the other boys back. He wondered what it would be like to be even more closer to jungwoo, to understand what's going on behind those delicate eyes. He's harbored these feelings for a while now, why was he making his move after years?, it didn't matter though, cause now renjun was sure he could finally have jungwoo to himself.

The sound of Jungwoo's voice broke Renjun's reverie. "Okay, so see you after school. We'll met at the exit, jeahyun would be meeting us there too, so see you later."

Uhhh...Jaehyun again?

But Renjun shrugged off whatever speculations he had, it was basically just tutoring, what else was there to it.

Renjun nodded as jungwoo walked away, he couldn't help but steal glances at the brunette, his little secret crush that he's been harboring for years burning brighter with every passing moment.
