This is no ordinary tale—it's the collision of two worlds, Borrowed Lights and Secret Skies and Echoes of the Dream Realm, fused into one breathtaking narrative: My Life: Whether Dream, Fantasy or Reality. At its heart beats my soul, bound inseparably to Melainy—a fictional alter ego born from a dream at age 14, a beacon of love and resilience in a life often shadowed by sorrow.

These two books are the same, yet not truly the same. They speak my truth, whether it blooms in my sleeping dreams or lies buried deep within me. These pages hold my reality: the dark moments of life alongside the joyful ones, moments I wish still existed, and others I wish would finally release me.

Melainy is not a monster, and I am not bipolar—far from it. But the voices within? I had to give them a name.

Now, these two stories collide within these pages, merging into a single, pulsing truth: every dream, every fantasy, every harsh reality is a facet of one life—shared between myself and Melainy. Together, we navigate a journey of heartache and hope, a symphony of the soul that defies the boundaries of time and space. Through surrealism and emotional turmoil, readers will traverse lost realms, seeking peace amid chaos—a journey of self-discovery woven through fictional worlds where truth and lies dance in delicate balance.

Book 2: Borrowed Light, secret skies

Ever since I was little, I've dreamed of writing my life story and calling it "My Diary". Every morning, I write fragments of my truth. Now, I'm finally doing it—but instead of drowning in sadness, I'm weaving in my fantasy world too. Every story here is true. But parts live in fantasy. Characters may be real friends I adore, or figments of Melainy's world. We share the same face, the same wounds—but where I froze, she fights. Our sexuality is different, who we like is different, where I'm straight, she's... complicated. It's messy... living two souls in one body.

As the protagonist

I embody the name Melainy—a name that carries heavy memories but has also helped me confront my past and reclaim parts of myself I thought were lost forever. Standing at 175 cm with dark brown, mid-length hair highlighted with chocolate tones, I have brownish eyes and sharp features, complemented by a small mouth. My skin reflects a life lived in transition, and I'm still discovering my style in clothing and in life. However, I remain grounded and eager to learn about new languages and cultures.

I love to dance and sing, often imagining myself performing for millions in my little bedroom. My relationship with myself is a complicated love/hate affair, and throughout this story, you'll uncover the many hearts I've dated and the pain that often accompanied them. Yet beneath it all lies a child longing to be seen and heard.

As I write this, I feel both liberated and disoriented—like a sealed tornado ready to unleash its fury. Yet through writing, I can take a deep breath and move forward. I am grateful for this journey, for the music that inspires me, and for the courage to share my truth. If my feelings seem trivial to some, I simply don't care. The reality is no one truly knows the fights I face each day.
