Vedha. POV.

It already 2:00 pm and All the girls in the hostel of my college has left but still my father is not here to pick me up. Today I am done with my final semester of my BA LLb. The written exams,Viva ,files, moot court ,etc has exhaustede to the core and with the stress being gone I want to go to my comfort place and that is my father. It's always been mentioned and my dad and he is my biggest supporter because for my future he lets me leave him for the best University to support my dreams. I lost my mom at the age of Fifteen due to sudden cardiac arrest and which was devastating for both me and my father . But with time we were able to move on but her absence still lingers and makes us remember all the memories we have together with tears in our eyes. I still miss my mom and sometimes I wish to meet her but I know that my father only has me and I can't let him down. I have to fulfill the dream we saw together and now I am only one step away from it.

With the empty hallways and silence surrounding everything feels haunting but I could care less. I know it is tiring for my father to take out time from his hectic schedule to come pick me up. I can go to my home by myself but my father likes to do this for me and I feel sad for his health and happiness for his concern for me.

And due to his busy schedule most of the time  he is always late but I feel guilty for the hostel warden as she has to stay by my side till all the girls leave and only then she can leave for her home. But my father's sincere apology always makes it easier as the warden knows our circumstances. She herself is also a single mother raising two kids alone by herself as she lost her husband to a car accident when her youngest daughter was just born and to me she is a strong independent woman and an inspiring role model for everyone. My father always  brings goodies for her daughters and she always tries to refuse it but my father's persuasion skills  always  win.

Now that I am free we will enjoy what we have always wanted. And I will give myself three months of vacation before diving into legal practice.
This time I can go with my father to the places we have planned. Just thinking about it makes me happy.

There was still no message for me from the reception area that my family has come to pick me up. So I went back to my room and laid down on my bed in my room which is a simple room with a simple bed and study table. All the students get separate room. Even though the room in small but it gives privacy which I want. My hostel is in the university only and has four floors and each floor containing atleast 10 rooms. There are similar bulidings like this for girls. Hostel for boys is outside the university campus and is more grans and comfortable.

I don't actually like to live in hostel but my home is far from university and everyday travel from university and home will makee completely exhausted. So I told my father that I will stay in the university campus and which is good both for me and father as I don't want him to exhaust his body as he is already a heart patient and has already suffered from three heartattacks. Even though his assistant and our housekeeper stays with him all the time still it doesn't lessen my worry. I wish I could exchange my heart for his as he has already suffered enough in his life and always does his best to make me happy. I am happy to have such a father.

I picked up my phone and called him but no one picked up the phone which means he is about reach me. I last talked to home about one hour ago when he was leaving the home and it takes about one hour to reach university from my house. I have already packed my belongings and just waiting for my father to reach. I can take a public transport but my father fells that it is unsafe for a girl to travel alone .

Suddenly the Peon from the office came  and told me that my family has arrived. I quickly picked up my bags and went downstairs. On the right side was the office of the reception area and on the left side was the Billing counter and a big library. I entered the reception office and didn't see my father but saw someone familiar yet Unfamiliar.
