Deep into the days where they describe these months as, "a butterfly emerging from its cocoon," Spring was approaching. With Hao at the Restaurant where he usually worked as a waiter, his monthly salary was just enough to support his own studies and expenses, although his co-workers despised him, just because they thought that their boss favours Hao than the rest of them, nonetheless, he didn't mind as long as he gets paid.
"Hao, you've been working all day. Why don't you take some rest today, hm?" Their boss, Taerae stated.
I mean, who was Hao to decline? It was his time to rest so he nodded and smiled before taking his stuff, signaling to leave the Restaurant.
After that, Hao received a message from his friend, Hanbin.
"Haoo, how's work?" His eyes ignited towards the words on the screen, while a grin spread across his face.
"My boss told me to take a break for a while, well, I kind of needed that because I was worked up with the amount of work I have to do in JUST a day." Hao messaged back.
"Aww, Hao's probably tired.. Let's go have a friendly date! My treat, y'know? Because you've worked hard today! ^^" The man was thrilled, thus immediately agreeing to the other's proposition.
Later on, Hao wore a casual striped light blue polo over a classic white t-shirt, pairing it with simple black pants that completed his approachable look. To top it all off, he sported a pair of sleek black glasses that gave him a touch of elegance.
He quickly drove off to the location that they agreed on, for he did not want to be late for their Friendly date. Arriving at the scene, he realized that he was earlier than Hanbin. So, he patiently waited for Hanbin to arrive at their designated meeting spot.
After waiting for 30 minutes, Hao saw Hanbin in his sight and run up to him dissapointed.
"Hanbin!! you actually showed up? you made me wait for too long!!" Hao said while pouting.
"Ahh im sorry Hao i was in the library and didn't notice the time" Hanbin said while pinching Hao's cheek.
Hao noticed that Hanbin is wearing a white hoodie with a black denim pants along with a simple black cap. Hao bit his lips when Hanbin removed his cap revealing his raven hair. He looked handsome in Hao's mind. 'Ahh erase that!! we're in the same gender.." in Hao's mind, trying to shake it off.
"Forget it, let's just go inside my looks is almost ruined." Hao said.
Both Hanbin and Hao sat on a nearby chair when they went inside,
Hao noticed that the place was beautiful. The coffee shop was full of modern furnitures, and a beautiful shade of brown is painted on the walls. It was perfect for Hanbin and Hao.
What do you like?" Hanbin politely asked to Hao.
"Anything, I'm not that picky in choosing coffees" Hao smiled as he answered back, looking directly into Hanbin's eyes.
Hanbin nodded, "ill take two cappuccino" he said at the waiter that went to their table to get their order.
FASTFORWARD...
The waiter approached their table and served them two cappuccinos along with a red heart-shaped cake topped with a strawberry, causing both individuals to feel perplexed, as they had not ordered any cake.
“Excuse me, I think we got the wrong order?” Hao stated politely to the waiter.
“Sir, the cake is free for adorable couples,” the waiter replied before leaving.
Hao and Hanbin remained shock, avoiding each other's gaze until they managed to compose themselves after the unexpected encounter.
"Now feel embarrassed to make eye contact with Hanbin..." in Hao's mind
Hanbin quickly noticed Hao's unusual behavior. “Are you feeling uncomfortable?”
“Ah, no, of course not. However, did we really look like a couple?” Hao responded with embarrassment, still avoiding Hanbin's gaze.
“Don't worry about them at least you received a free cake,” Hanbin said cheerfully in an effort to reassure Hao. Ultimately, Hao relaxed due to Hanbin's encouragement, and they engaged in conversation while sipping their cappuccinos.
Hao glanced at the bill discreetly and discovered it amounted to $1,000. Is a cappuccino genuinely that costly? Can Hanbin even afford such an expense?Hao gulped. Hanbin noticed instantly. He checked the bill, camly took his wallet and took out a 1000$ and a 500$ for the waiter. They left the coffee shop with a shock on Hao's face.
Time check: 5:00 pm
They arrived at their 2nd place, the mall. They went there to buy clothes and things they needed. There's only a few people since it's almost night. Hanbin asked Hao to go to a clothing store with him.
The store smelled expensive in Hao's perspective, something where rich people goes.
"Hey Hao try this on!! I bet this will look good on you." Hanbin said from afar, waving the clothes that he's going to give Hao to get his attention.
Hao nodded and immediately tried the clothes that Hanbin handed out to him.
When Hao went out of the fitting room, he was looking beautifully majestic wearing a white long polo along with a black necktie. All eyes was on him, customers, staffs and especially Hanbin with his mouth open.
"Is it good?.." Hao embarrassly said as he saw all people looking towards him.
Hanbin snapped to reality, "Y-yeah that's nice, you should buy it."
Hao checked the price on his clothes "$10,000." Hao's eye widden, how he wished he never looked at it....
Hao shrugged and said, "I don’t think this looks good on me. I should just return it." He was almost back to the fitting room when Hanbin chimed in.
"I'll pay."
After that Hanbin bought more clothes for himself and Hao, leaving the boy shocked again. Imagine how much the other outfit costs, a normal white long polo cost over $10,000?? I can buy a house with that.
Hao in the end, was carrying all the stuff Hanbin bought for him. He tripped in Hanbin's arms due to the heaviness making Hao embarrassed, at the end Hanbin carried them all effortless.
Hanbin dropped Hao into his apartment. At the end, the date was ended with him being speechless and confused.
