What's so different

Captain Jameson crouched behind a crumbling wall, his rifle at the ready. The sounds of gunfire and screams filled the air as the war raged on. Suddenly, a blast of shrapnel sent him flying backward. Everything went dark.

When Jameson came to, he was disoriented and confused. He looked around, taking in the unfamiliar surroundings. He was lying on a comfortable bed in a modern hospital room. A kind-faced nurse smiled at him.

"Welcome back, Captain," she said. "You've been asleep for a long time."

Jameson's mind reeled as he struggled to understand what was happening. He soon discovered that he had been transported to the present day - a world that was unrecognizable to him.

As he walked through the city streets, Jameson was struck by the towering skyscrapers and the people staring at small, glowing rectangles in their hands. But despite the many changes, he noticed that some things remained the same.

He saw a newspaper headline that made his heart sink: "13-Year-Old Takes Own Life Due to Bullying." Jameson felt a wave of sadness and anger. He had fought in a war to protect people from harm, but it seemed that the battles were far from over.

As he walked further, Jameson came across a young boy crying on a bench. The boy held his phone in his hand, and Jameson could see the hurt and fear in his eyes.

"What's wrong, son?" Jameson asked gently.

The boy looked up, sniffling. "People are being mean to me online. They're saying horrible things just because of my skin color."

Jameson's eyes narrowed. He had fought against hatred and intolerance in the war, but it seemed that those same battles were still being fought today.

The soldier realized that the war was never truly won. The enemy had simply changed its face. Instead of bullets and bombs, the weapons were now words and keyboards.

Jameson's eyes locked onto the boy's, and he saw a glimmer of recognition. The boy understood that he was not alone, that there were people who cared and would fight for him.

In that moment, Jameson knew that he still had a role to play in this new world. He would continue to fight for what was right, even if the battles had changed. The war may never be truly over, but with courage and determination, the next generation could create a brighter, more compassionate future.

THE BATTLE IS DIFFERENT BUT THE PAIN IS SAME
THE BATTLEFIELD IS DIFFERENT BUT THE FIGHT STILL STAYS
THE PLACE HAS CHANGED
THE TIME HAS PASSED
BUT PEOPLE ARE STILL DIVIDED
NOT BY BORDERS BUT BY HEART ❤️

( Dear readers,
Be there for anyone that needs help, even if you are not able to do anything just stay beside them. That's enough for people who really need it.
Just keep in mind how lucky we are to have the people we love the most beside us. Cherish every moment with them cause life is too short

Regards,
Sam)
