A few days later, the Avengers set up a more advanced training simulation. The mission was designed to test how well Lyndon could handle his shadows in a real-world scenario. His heart raced as he stood in the designated area, his shadows moving restlessly at his command. He had been training for this moment, but he wasn’t sure if he was ready.

"Focus, Lyndon," Bruce’s voice echoed through his earpiece. "You’ve got this."

The simulation began, and the world around him shifted into a chaotic battlefield. He felt the shadows respond, swirling and shifting as he fought to maintain control. His heart pounded in his chest, but this time, he didn’t panic. He focused on his breathing, on the movements of his body, on the energy that flowed through him.

With a deep breath, he released the shadows, using them to create barriers and incapacitate the simulated enemies around him. It wasn’t perfect, but it was effective. He felt a rush of triumph.

As the simulation ended, the Avengers gathered around him. Steve clapped him on the back. "Well done. That was impressive."

Lyndon’s breath was still heavy, but he couldn’t stop the grin that spread across his face. He had done it. He had controlled his shadows, not just in theory, but in practice.

He glanced over at Natasha, who gave him an approving nod. "You did great, Lyndon. You’re learning how to trust yourself more, and that’s what counts."

Lyndon felt a surge of pride. He wasn’t just a scared teenager anymore. He was becoming the hero he always hoped he could be.
