I think Rep heard my shaky breaths, because it took three words for me to break down. "You can cry," she spoke softly.
I slowly started to shake with sobs until my whole body was wracking with them.
And Rep didn't leave. She just held me. Stayed silent.
I quieted down after a little while, staying limp in her arms.
"...Lov," Rep started.
"...hmm?" I hummed in reply.
"...I'm... I won't force you to talk, but... if you want to, or- or you need to, I- I have... um... ears..." Rep stammered out.
I giggled a little at her wording, but nodded. "Kay. Thank you." I said.
I felt her nod a little bit, her grip on me tightening.
"Reppy...?" I spoke up.
"Yeah?" She replied.
"Can... can we go to your house...?" I asked quietly.
"Uhh, yeah, lemme check my dad's location," she answered. "Yeah, he's not home. Let's go." She spoke after she pulled her phone out and checked.
"Kay," I smiled, starting to get off her lap.
"The fuck? No," she said firmly, lifting me up.
I blinked, surprised, but latched onto her as she carried me downstairs. We bid our goodbyes to Jaxon and got in her car, driving towards her house.
She placed her hand on my thigh as we drove, making sure that the entire ride, my face was bright red.
"...Rep?" I spoke up softly, playing with my fingers.
"Yes?" She replied, turning the radio volume down.
"I can... talk... about it... if you- if you want," I offered quietly.
"Okay... um," Rep started, turning the car onto the freeway, which was moving extremely slowly due to traffic. "Let's- let's start with... uh, how often... do you..." she trailed off, but I got what she meant.
"Um. I... not... not a lot, but... it's gotten... worse... like... recently..." I murmured, playing with her hand which was resting limply on my thigh.
"Okay. Um... is... is there, like... a reason?" She swallowed and asked.
"...Yeah, just... kinda the same... as the eating thing... my head... just... tells me things... and it... I... I do... it..." I explained sheepishly.
"Oh. Alright. I think that's all the questions I have... right now," she finished. "Thank you for telling me," she said softly.
"Yeah." I replied simply. The car fell into an awkward yet comfortable silence, the radio playing quietly in the background.
I heard the familiar intro to a song, my face lighting up. I sprung forward and turned the knob for the volume up, and glanced at Rep as the song played.
I saw her face light up a bit too, as we sang together. "I don't got a single problem with provocative..."
Rep's voice was about an octave down from Mine, it mixed nicely as we continued singing.
"I burn for you, and you don't even know my name," I sang, turning to Rep and motioning with my hands to emphasize the song.
She laughed, turning to me too as the chorus played.
"To be close to you, pull the trigger on the gun that I gave you when we met," we sang, Rep using her free hand to dance with me as she drove, her eyes glancing from the road to me.
Rep pulled the car into her driveway, parking and getting out. She came around the back, opening my door and holding a hand out for me.
I got out, leaning on her as we walked up the stairs to her room.
As soon as she shut her door, I got tackled onto her bed.
I yelped, starting to break out into giggles as she pressed kisses all around my face. "Rep— what— stop, Rep—" I laughed, trying to push her off.
She laughed, pressing one more to my lips then lying down on the bed beside me.
"Lover?" She started.
"Yeah?" I answered.
"You're breathtaking," she replied, reaching for my hand to play with.
I felt a maroon creep up my neck to my cheeks. "Th-thanks..." I said with a giggle.
"Lover?" She asked, again.
"Yeah?" I answered. Again.
"We didn't have Chem homework, right?" She asked, glancing up at me.
"No," I answered, pecking her on the cheek.
"Kay." More silence.
"Lover?" The girl asked, for the THIRD TIME.
"Yes?" I asked with a sigh.
"Mm tired," she replied.
"Then go to sleep, sweetheart," I answered with a laugh.
"Okay," she replied, curling up closer to me.
I played with her hair until I felt her body go limp.
