One way or Another

Felix shook his head weakly, the fight in him growing stronger despite his restraints. "No... I won't. You can't control me. No one can."

Minho laughed softly, as if Felix’s words didn’t matter. "We'll see about that, kitten. I always get what I want. Always."

As Felix’s body grew more tired, his eyes began to flutter again, his strength slowly leaving him. Minho watched him, an unreadable expression on his face. The quiet moments stretched on, and as Felix finally drifted back into unconsciousness, Minho stayed close by, watching over him.

The darkness in Minho’s heart had only deepened, but he wasn’t quite sure if it was the lust, the obsession, or something even more sinister that had taken root inside him. All he knew for certain was that he would never let Felix go.

And he’d make sure no one else would ever have him again.

Two days passed in a suffocating blur. Chan’s worry grew with each hour, his sleepless nights blending together into a haze of dread. Felix was still missing. No word. No clue. And worst of all—no answers.

He paced back and forth in his apartment, hands clenched into fists at his sides, his thoughts spiraling out of control. The moments he'd spent trying to reason with himself, trying to convince himself that Felix would come back unharmed, felt futile. Each minute that ticked by felt like a lifetime. Every time his phone buzzed, his heart skipped, hoping for a message or a call, but it was always silence.

Seungmin sat nearby, watching Chan with a deep concern in his eyes, but even his usual calm demeanor couldn’t provide comfort anymore. He knew how badly Chan was hurting—how much he was struggling to stay composed for Felix, for the sake of his brother.

"Min," Chan whispered, his voice tight. "I can’t... I can’t stand this. I keep telling myself he’s okay, but what if he isn’t? What if something’s happened to him?" His voice cracked, the raw emotion breaking through the mask he'd been desperately trying to hold up.

Seungmin shook his head, his hand resting on Chan’s shoulder as a reminder to stay grounded. "Felix is strong, and we’ll find him. I know it. We just need to keep going. He’s out there. We have to trust that."

But Chan wasn’t listening. His thoughts were too loud, the fear far too consuming. "I don’t even know where to look anymore," he muttered, running a hand through his hair. "What if Minho… what if he’s—" Chan stopped himself, his voice trailing off. The possibility was too horrifying to even say aloud.

Seungmin frowned, his expression darkening. "Minho’s the one who took him, Chan. We have to face that. But you can’t let him take over your mind. We’re going to find Felix, and we’ll make sure he’s okay. We just need more time."

"I don’t know how much more time I can give," Chan admitted, his eyes hollow from exhaustion and worry. "Every second feels like a lifetime."

Seungmin could see the toll it was taking on Chan. The once sharp, focused leader of the detective group was now a shell of himself, consumed by fear. It was painful to watch, and yet he knew nothing could comfort Chan completely until Felix was safe.

"We’ll track him down," Seungmin assured, standing up from his chair. He walked over to the computer setup, his fingers flying over the keyboard as he pulled up the street cameras once more. But the streets were quiet. The night was eerily still, and they hadn’t found anything new in two days.

Minho was always one step ahead. That much was clear. He had covered his tracks so meticulously that finding Felix felt almost impossible.

Chan sat down, his elbows on his knees, staring at the floor in disbelief. He couldn’t stop the thoughts from swirling. What was Minho doing to Felix? Was he tormenting him, using him, or something worse? Chan had never seen Minho like this before—not with anyone. He had no idea what was going through his mind or what he planned to do next.
