The Model (C.K) Part 2

Start from the beginning

"I agree with both of those actually," I nodded. "Oh look," I pointed out at the candlelit dinner table with white flowers around it.

"Aww, that's so cute," she gasped and I quickly texted the hotel manager. I grabbed her hand again, guiding her along. "You did this?"

"Anything for you, my love," I smiled and leaned down to kiss her before we sat down. I thanked our waitress who served our drinks and food. I could see in the corner of my eye that the one photographer I had taking pictures. I met him the first day we had arrived here and I pulled him aside when Cindy was busy.

We had a dessert where they drew out 'Happy Anniversary' in caramel. As my girlfriend looked out to the sunset beach. I pulled out my phone to sneak a few pictures of her. I then placed my phone back in and grabbed the box from my pocket.

"Hey," I softly smiled.

"Hmm?" she hummed and turned her head. I placed my palm out onto the table and she placed her hand on top.

"I wanted to thank you," I began and she tilted her head in confusion. "For picking me, loving me. I'm so grateful to have someone that loves me so immensely, despite the things I don't even like about myself," I cleared my throat again and stood up to kneel on one knee. Her other hand quickly went to cover her mouth as she gasped. "You make me so happy, so wanted. And I would love to have the honor of being your forever," I opened the box with two hands. "Will you marry me?"

Her teary eyes came down and quickly nodded her head. "Yes," she replied and hugged me tightly before I could take the ring out. I wrapped one arm around her as I stood up with her in my arms. We kissed, I slipped the ring on, and kissed her again.

The photographer came around a minute later and I gave him my email and paid him directly after. I paid the waitress and tipped her well for her work tonight. We then went on a walk for a near hour before heading back to our hotel room.

We kept the engagement a secret until we flew out to Cuba where we called our loved ones. I contacted the family I had here to have a small celebration. We then flew out to New York for about two weeks before she flew out to L.A. for work.

After a few days apart, she Facetimed me before I went to sleep. I saw the ring on her hand before I saw her face. "Ahhh, it's too bright," I covered my eyes. "Baby, you do realize that I was the one that got you the ring right?" I laughed. "But I was looking at that ring for many weeks before our trip."

"I know," she giggled. "It's just so perfect," she smiled and looked at the ring.

"Like you," I softly smiled and turned the other direction as I laid in bed. "Nothing but the greatest for my future wife," I added, making her smile. "Are you and the girls looking through catalogs and whatever else?"

"They've been looking through it ever since I told them," she laughed. "They're just as excited as I am. I also got Kat and Madison in our group chat. Honestly, we'd figure everything out by the end of the year. But I think next year is good? A fall wedding? The colors, leaves. Ooo or Spring? With flowers and all, ugh I don't know, but it's so fun," she giddied in excitement.

"Both sound great, my love. Summer is too hot, Winter is too cold. We do have to pick one to make all of this a lot easier," I told her as I saw her sitting on her bed. She placed the phone against a pillow near the end of the bed as she was surrounded by magazines and more.

She played some light music on her laptop, slowly getting me drowsier. I couldn't help but continue to look at her in the black silk robe that I got her on Christmas that had 'Mrs. Anderson' written in gold over her left chest pocket.

She only had her undergarments on underneath. She sipped some wine as she continued to look through all of the selections. "Is there anything I can do?" I questioned.
