Shadow x Human Oc Reader

Chapter 1

"What the..." Agent Shadow mumbled as he looked at the scene in front of him.

The once busy, hustling city was utterly destroyed, and buildings were on fire. Smoke filled the air, and people were screaming and trying to get out of there.

"What happened here?" Rouge asked, also looking around in utter shock. 

G.U.N were also there, along with Chaotix, trying to help the citizens and defuse the situation. Vector huffed and coughed as the smoke-filled inside his lungs. 

"We're not sure, but whatever happened, it can't be good." He said gruffly, and Charmy spoke up. 

"This must be Eggman's doing!" Charmy exclaimed and clenched his hand into a fist. 

Shadow listened to their conversation and sighed in frustration. It made sense to think it was Eggman who caused all of this. After all, he is the only person who would be the most likely to cause all of this destruction, but something seemed off. They haven't seen any robots or signs of him anywhere. 

Just as Shadow was about to speak up, a loud explosion, along with screams, could be heard and seen from the end of the street. Mobians and Humans could then be seen running towards them. 

"Run!" One of them shouted, almost tripping, and everyone's eyes widened. The commander, also known as Abraham Tower, stepped forward and grabbed one of the citizens' arms and spoke firmly. 

"What happened!?" He asked sternly, and the mobian looked back and was panting. "T-the girl, she did this somehow! She's hiding in the alleyway down there!" 

The commander looked at the mobian, confused and was going to question him further, but another loud explosion emerged from the end of the street, and the ground rumbled.

"Don't worry, we will handle it. Go get to safety," He said in a serious and calm tone of voice, despite his worries and looked back at Shadow and everyone else. 

"You heard them. We need to check out the alleyway! Proceed with caution. Lethal force is allowed if things get out of control." 

Shadow's eyes narrowed, and he clenched his hand into a fist and took a deep breath. "Understood Commander." 

Everyone then rushed over to the alleyway with caution, and the tension in the air was palpable. As they approached, the ground rumbled again, and Rouge stumbled a little.

"What the...what is happening!?" Rouge said, startled and glanced over at Shadow, whose face was serious and concerned.

"Be careful." He demanded and stood in front of the commander, and slowly started walking into the alleyway.

The tension was thick, and the group could feel a strong wave of energy hit them. It almost felt as strong as the chaos emeralds...If not stronger. 

As they walked further and further into the alleyway, something caught their attention. A huge glow that shone brightly could be seen, and startled everyone. However, what shocked them even more was that there was a human girl who didn't seem any older than 15.

"I-Is that-" Rouge stammered out, but quickly got cut off by Shadow.

"A child." Shadow gritted his teeth. The situation was becoming more intense by the second.

The girl who was in the alleyway was huddled up in the corner and screamed. Struggling to wield the power that she currently held.

"How in chaos can a child be doing this!?" Vector yelled.

Commander Towers then stepped forward and walked in front of the group.

"We need to get this situation under control and fast. Everyone's lives are in danger." He spoke calmly but held a level of seriousness that left everyone feeling on edge and uneasy.
