He waits alone beneath the trees,
Where whispers drift on a quiet breeze.
He felt an embrace but through the air
A voice calls his name
The sound he missed so dear
Night after night, he feels her near,
A presence wrapped in love and fear.
For in his eyes, only he can see
The unsaid vows, and shattered dreams
So tell me now, for whom we mourn:
Can love survive when souls are torn?
