Meet the Stabler's

"Home is the nicest word there is," —Laura Ingalls Wilder. "Elliot and Olivia Stabler are moving here to Laurel from Glen Oaks, Queens, New York. They have three young kids of their own— two sons and a daughter, Elliot's five grown children— three daughters and two sons, and there's Elliot's mom— Bernie who lives with them," said Erin. "Elliot was a detective with the NYPD's Organized Crime Control Bureau and Olivia was the captain of the Manhattan Special Victims Unit," Ben added. "Ben and I are stoked to show Elliot and Olivia and their family these houses and welcome them to town," Erin exclaimed. Over at the hotel, Olivia said, "Hi, I'm Olivia Stabler and this is my husband, Elliot." "And this is our baby boy— Benson, who is five months old," Elliot added as Olivia cradled him close to her. Bernie, Noah, and Lindy Claire introduced themselves to the camera crew and the Home Town viewers as they finished getting ready to go look at houses to find their new forever home. "Hi, I'm Noah and I'm 13, this is my eight year old sister, Lindy Claire, and this is our dad's mom— Grandma Bernie. After they introduced themselves, Bernie, Noah, and Lindy Claire headed to the car. Olivia said, "Elliot and I are both from New York, but we have decided to relocate our family to try to make a fresh new start for ourselves, and we chose Laurel to be our new hometown."
Erin said, "Over the past year, Olivia has experienced some serious health issues going back to before Benson was born." Ben, finishing Erin's thought, "And those health issues really gave their family a wake up call." As Olivia buckled Benson into his car seat, she tearfully explained, "At 14 weeks pregnant, I was diagnosed with a rare blood clotting disorder called ZBT." "The ZBT could have caused Olivia to throw a clot, leading to a stroke or even a miscarriage. Her blood pressure could have also spiked dangerously high in stressful situations— potentially putting both hers and the baby's life at risk," Elliot choked out. Upon reliving her story, Olivia wiped the waterworks from her eyes and cheeks as she followed Elliot out of the hotel as he carried Benson, and put him into the Tahoe. Olivia then added, "But today, despite being born three months early, Ben is a beautiful, healthy, and happy baby boy. I'm beyond blessed." They then headed off to meet Ben and Erin at their house, which was just a few houses down from the houses the Napier's had lined up to show the Stabler's.
