Chapter 18: Hello I am Tree Paine

My assistant whispering towards me, "she is also named Matthew Guadalupe Maverick Garcia Wright Jr. She is  Matt Wrights daughter, Quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys. Her mother is Maria Garcia who is thinking about retiring from the WNBA. She plays for the National team and now Sky Blue FC, she has been friends with Taylor for a long time. She also models with Nike, Calvin Klein, and the Row. Family is really influential, lots of money."

My eyes finally looking at the two who are now looking at me, I was always thankful that my assistant was always so thorough.

"As I was saying this is Lupe Wright, or as your assistant probably told you Matt-" she started saying before she was interrupted. "T I thought we had this discussion of not that name."

"We've had a lot of discussion like that babe, especially when you and Maverick both wanted to use Maverick." She said as my brows furrowed, my assistant looking at me. I trying my best to make it look like I am taken by surprise.

"You know that sometimes the two of you always forget that people aren't on the same page as you. Plus you've forgotten that we have a few new guests here." Andrea spoke as all of our glances fall onto her.

"Sorry about that, we sometimes forget that people are around and we haven't seen each other in a while." She said as she turned towards my team, "As I was saying this is Lupe... which I am guessing your team just gave you a complete rundown, I am guessing?"

"Yes."

"Then you know I've been best friends with this idiot since we were in 8th grade?" She let out as nods came from us, for the most part the group just wanting her to say it. "Well then you should know we've been together since we were fifteen."

"So you two are dating then?" My assistant asks as our gazes stay in her.

"Actually we've been married since we were 18... isn't that right babe?" She asked as she turned towards the very tall blonde, I knew she was tall just not this tall.

"Mhmm it will be five years in August." Lupe answered as she finally sat down next to Taylor.

"I know this is a lot, which is why we wanted to meet in person. We've been wanting to let people know, but there has been a lot of push back from the label. They've been telling me that it's best not to stir the pot especially with what I've been working on for next year. Although I know before and if you still want to sign on you needed to know this." She said as she looked at me before speaking once again, "I'll let you and your team discuss in private."

We watched as they left the conference room, my team looking at me.

"So what do you want to do Tree?"

Lupe's Pov

"So do you think she will just decide to leave?" Taylor asked as I looked over at her.

"Honestly babe, I hope she realizes how amazing it would be to work with you. Just the way your genius mind works, the two of you would become a powerhouse." I told her as we someone come out from the conference room.

"She would like to talk to the two of you." Her assistant stated as we followed her into the conference.

"That was quick." Taylor muttered towards me as I nodded my head.

"So... that was definitely unexpected, the marriage part, not so much the other part." She said as I let out a laugh before muttering "I told you so."

Of course, I earning a hit from Taylor, but a laugh out of Tree.

"Anyways, I think between you and I we would make a powerful team. I've watched the way you work and handle yourself, especially with those around you." She stated looking over at Taylor. "Who knows about the two of you?"
